Dragonflight Season 4 (or Arena Season 37) was the final Dragonflight season for both PvP and PvE that started on 23 April 2024 and ended on 22 July 2024. Dragonflight Raids were Awakened until 26 August 2024 with the launch of The War Within.

Weekly tasks

Most overworld content now has an additional point of reward in addition to the Last Hurrah quests (that replaced the Aiding the Accord quests). The Last Hurrah quest available depends on the current Awakened Raid.

The Vault of the Incarnates awakened raid week will provide the  [70W] Last Hurrah: Dragon Isles quest that will reward the  [Cache of Awakened Storms] and the following content will provide a  [Cache of Storms]:

• Dragon Isles world bosses (Strunraan, Basrikron, Bazual, Liskanoth)
•  [Grand Hunt Spoils] (Grand Hunt weekly reward)
•  [Dragonbane Keep Strongbox] (Siege on Dragonbane Keep weekly reward)
•  [Supply-Laden Soup Pot] (Community Feast weekly reward)

The Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible awakened raid week will provide the  [70W] Last Hurrah: Zaralek Caverns and Time Rifts quest that will reward the  [Cache of Awakened Embers] and the following content will provide a  [Cache of Embers]:

• Zaqali Elders (world boss)
• First Time Rift boss kill of the week (Time Rifts) also rewards a  [Dilated Eon Canister]
• Any tier gift cache from Researchers Under Fire
• Secured Shipment (Fyrakk Assaults)

The Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope awakened raid week will provide the  [70W] Last Hurrah: Emerald Dream quest that will reward the  [Cache of Awakened Dreams] and the following content will provide a  [Cache of Dreams]:

• Aurostor (world boss)
•  [70W] Shaping the Dreamsurge (Dreamsurge weekly quest) also rewards a  [Dreamsurge Cradle]
•  [Harvested Dreamseed Cache] ( [70W] Blooming Dreamseeds weekly quest)

Player vs Player

Arena

Players can earn the following rewards by obtaining  [Gladiator: Dragonflight Season 4] which requires winning 50 games in the 3v3 arena while at Elite rank (2400 rating).

• <Gladiator> title for the duration of the season
•  [Draconic Gladiator's Drake] mount, sent in the mail by "King" Dond
•  [Highland Drake: Embodiment of the Draconic Gladiator] manuscript, placed in inventory upon earning the achievement

Players can also earn  [Draconic Gladiator: Dragonflight Season 4] by being in the top 0.1% of the 3v3 arena ladder by the end of the season. It rewards the <Draconic Gladiator> title which is permanent.

Solo Shuffle

Players can earn the following rewards by obtaining the  [Legend: Dragonflight Season 4] achievement, earned by winning 100 rated Solo Shuffle rounds

• <Legend> title for the duration of the season
•  [Draconic Legend's Pennant] toy

Players in the top 0.1% can also earn the  [Draconic Legend: Dragonflight Season 4] achievement which rewards the permanent title, <Draconic Legend>.

Rated PvP

The  [Vicious Dreamtalon] can be obtained by winning rated PvP matches while at Combatant rank (1000 rating) or higher; progress is tracked via the Season Rewards bar in the Rated tab of the PvP interface. The current season's mount is earned by filling the progress bar once. A  [Vicious Saddle] is earned for each additional time the bar is filled within the season.

Raids

The Awakened Raids event starts this season and will last up to the release of The War Within. Awakened Raid bosses drop an  [Antique Bronze Bullion] once a week, which can be traded for more raid gear, weapon appearances, or the  [Jigglesworth, Sr.] mount.

Tier sets

Prior to Season 4, players were given the opportunity to vote on their favorite set appearances and bonuses from Dragonflight. The winning combinations for each class were used for the Season 4 tier sets, dropping from Awakened raids and being created via the Revival Catalyst.

Eight dungeons are in the Mythic+ rotation, featuring all eight of the original Dragonflight dungeons.

Mythic+ affixes

Mythic+ saw drastic changes this season:

• Instead of the keystone level range from 1-20+, a level 5 keystone is roughly equivalent in difficulty to a level 15 from the previous season. +10 should be as hard as a +20 from last season, etc.
  • [Whelpling's Awakened Crest] no longer drops from Mythic+ difficulties and [Drake's Awakened Crest] only drops from level 0 (aka regular Mythic difficulty). Expect only [Wyrm's Awakened Crest] from levels 1-5 and [Aspect's Awakened Crest] at level 6 and beyond.
  • With this level range squish, affixes applying have changed.
    • +2 -  [Fortified]/ [Tyrannical]
    • +5 -  [Entangling]/ [Incorporeal]/etc. (down from +7)
    • +10 -  [Bursting]/ [Bolstering]/etc. (down from +14)
• Dungeon ratings should be equivalent to what they represent in the previous season.
• At the start of the season, all keystone levels will be reset to level 2, regardless of last season's level.
• [Flightstones] earnings will match the equally challenging levels from previous seasons. +2 in Season 4 will give the same amount as it did with a +12 during Season 3.
  • [Bonus Flightstones] remains unchanged.

Achievements and rewards

Players can earn the following feats of strength at specific intervals of the Mythic+ Rating while the first achievement only requires completing a run in time:

• Complete a dungeon within the time limit:  [Dragonflight Keystone Explorer: Season Four]
• 1500:  [Dragonflight Keystone Conqueror: Season Four] which awards <the Draconic> title.
• 2000:  [Dragonflight Keystone Master: Season Four] which awards the  [Infinite Armoredon] mount.
• 2500:  [Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season Four]
• Top 0.1%:  [Draconic Hero: Dragonflight Season 4] which awards <the Draconic Hero> title.

Great Vault

The Great Vault weekly reward system had the following objectives for this season, with some changes compared to last season:

• Raid objective now requires boss kills from the current Awakened Raid and the third objective was reduced by 1 (7→6).

Item upgrading

Trade seasonal [Flightstones] and Awakened Crests to upgrade gear from all PvE sources outside of crafting.

Awakened Crests

In season 4, the currency remained the same as currency since season 3.

Players can acquire 90 crests of each type per week in Season 4, which is enough to afford six upgrades of each crest type per week (was 10 upgrades worth in Season 2). If players have hit their weekly cap of the specified crest type, the game will award crests of the next lower crest type. The holding cap increases by 90 each week.

Crest sources are not chance-based. That is — if players complete a task they will receive the crests deterministically.

Enchanters can use crests to craft an Enchanted Awakened Crest, which is used to set the item level range of crafted gear. Said crafted gear will then be upgraded using Recrafting, not Flightstones.

Once a player has purchased or equipped all possible upgrades with a type of crest, they can visit Vaskarn in the Valdrakken (near the auction house)^{[45.50, 55.89]} to exchange those crests for higher level crests. Downgrading requires completing  [70] Awakened Crests, Unlimited Possibilities. pgrading requires completing the related feats of strength by reaching a specified item level in each slot:  [The Awakened Drake],  [The Awakened Wyrm], and  [The Awakened Aspects].

Veteran-track gear also comes from open-world content (like Siege on Dragonbane Keep, Fyrakk Assaults, and Superbloom) and weekly wrapper quests (like  [70W] A Worthy Ally: Loamm Niffen and  [70] Fighting is Its Own Reward). The Aurostor world boss will drop gear on the Champion track. The end-of-run chest in Mythic+ will drop gear at the specified track. Completing Heroic/Mythic/Mythic+ keys will also add loot to the weekly Great Vault. Complete enough keys of the specified level to be able to select loot on that upgrade track.

Awakened gear is purchased using 2x  [Antique Bronze Bullion] and starts at ilvl 493 and upgrades to ilvl 528, with the "Very rare" purchases going all the way up to 535.

Item levels and upgrade costs

Upgradeable gear will only ever be created in the rank 1–4 band of an upgrade track. So, an item level 476 piece that drops will always be Adventurer 4/8, never Explorer 8/8.

Flightstones have no weekly cap, so they can be ground out indefinitely up to the overall holding cap.

To upgrade to the listed item level from one row above, the Flightstone and Crest cost in the higher item level row must be paid. For example, to upgrade from Champion 1 (454) to Champion 2 (457), the cost is 145 Flightstones and 15x [Drake's Awakened Crest]. Upgrades are cumulative, so to upgrade from Champion 1 to Champion 8 would cost 1,115 Flightstones, 45x [Drake's Awakened Crest], and 60x [Wyrm's Awakened Crest].

Should players attempt to upgrade a lower item level piece in a slot that they already have a higher item level in, no Crests will be required. For example, players who have looted or upgraded to an item level 463 helm will see helms of all lower item levels cost no crests and 50% of the Flightstones. The Flightstone discount (but not the Crest discount) is account-wide. For rings, trinkets, and one-handed weapons, since two of each can be equipped, the lower item level piece determines the discount limit.
