The Mahrook clan was an ogre clan. They were known to serve the Horde and fought against the Alliance. At one battle, the ogre warriors were cornered into a canyon. While the ogres took many of the human and dwarven soldiers, the Alliance triumphed and massacred the ogres, leaving Throgg last standing. As the Alliance prepared to finish off Throgg, they were ambushed by the orcs of the Shattered Hand clan. The orcs and the lone ogre then killed the Alliance soldiers. As Throgg saw that all Mahrook ogres were dead, he joined the Shattered Hand.[1]
