The Hatecoil are a group of naga sent to Azsuna by Queen Azshara to acquire the [Tidestone of Golganneth].[1] They are named after Lady Hatecoil's family[2] and are based in Hatecoil Warcamp.
History

A Hatecoil base in Azsuna.
The main bulk of their forces arrive when the zone is first entered.[3]
Other activities
- They disturbed Aquious the Tidebreaker.[4]
- They disturbed the souls of the Nightwatchers in the Drowned Gardens.[5]
- When they attacked Nar'thalas, they found several artifacts, such as
[Pearl of Arcane Wisdom][6] and
[Stolen Nar'thalas Relic] and took it to the Hatecoil Warcamp.[7]
- They operated on the southern coast of the Isle of the Watchers. They also engaged in a combat with Shandris Feathermoon, only to be stopped by the champions of the Unseen Path.[8]
- They also controlled
[Heart of Zin-Azshari] and used it from Eye of Azshara to summon terrible storms that ravaged the coastline of Azsuna but it was taken by the class leaders sent by Senegos.[9]
Members
- At the Warcamp, the naga seemed to be accompanied by dragon turtles, but several of them were killed by the enslaved murlocs.
- They have Golk the Rumble at the Hatecoil Slave Pen.
- They were also meeting with the Darkfiend satyr.[10]
- They stirred up the Salteye murlocs,[11] enslaving their tadpoles, corrupting and putting them into hatcheries at Hatecoil Warcamp.
- They were capturing sailors off the coast of Azsuna, and forcing them to work for the sea giants of the coves,[12] with whom they allied.[13]

Notes
- They started using leystone for their armor.[14]
- At BlizzCon 2016, Ian Bates alleges that Prince Farondis claims that the Hatecoil has ties to the Burning Legion. This is not denied by the developers, and they answer that some naga serve the Legion and some do not, setting "something" up.[15] This may have been the naga at Felrage Strand, but the Hatecoil's connection to the Legion may have been removed in beta.

|
- The Felsworn naga in the Vault of the Wardens may originally come from the Hatecoil group, and may be the subject of Ian Bates' question.
- They may have enslaved the Bitterbrine gilgoblins given their presence in Eye of Azshara or they could control them through their sea giant allies.
