Aru is a young centaur hunter of Clan Shikaar encountered throughout the Ohn'ahran Plains. He is locked in a friendly rivalry with Belika over who is the better hunter; Aru believes that precision is more important than speed, while Belika believes the opposite. It's not specified if Aru and Belika are siblings or cousins, but they are both cousins to Initiate Aqira.[1]
Biography
After adventurers arrived to Timberstep Outpost, they introduced themselves to Shikaar who would be joining the journey to the Khural at Maruukai, including Aru and Belika. Both of the hunters were mainly interested in seeing the outsiders' hunting skills.[2] During the Shikaar caravan's first stop on the Wanderer's Steppe, Scout Tomul sent Aru, Belika, and the outsiders to gather meat for the Khural. The former two made it a game to see who brings back the most meat; Aru killed a mammoth bull and proclaimed himself better than Belika.[3]
After arriving in Maruukai, Aru and Belika delivered the meat to Qariin Dotur[4] and took to running back and forth between the Ohn'ir pools and the top of the Shikaar rise. After adventurers acquainted themselves with the city's clans, Aru brought them a message from Sansok Khan.[5]
Aru and Belika accompanied Khanam Matra Sarest's army to the Emerald Gardens to aid the green dragonflight against the Primalists. The Khanam Matra sent the two hunters to scout a grove near the Storm Scar, where they killed a group of Nokhud skirmishers. When adventurers came to collect their report, Belika boasted that she and Aru had ensured the centaur's victory by securing their rear flank.[6] After the battle, the two returned to Maruukai.
