The Wailing Ziggurat is a Scourge ziggurat located south of the Temple City of En'kilah in the Borean Tundra.

During the war against the Lich King, Counselor Talbot made the death knight Thassarian as the leader of Unit S, and tasked them to claim the ziggurat. Within the area, Thassarian (in-game with the help of an adventurer) found Tanathal's phylactery and started to interrogate him and the High Deathpriest Isidorus,^[1] in order to find a way into the necropolis of Naxxanar, where he believed the hidden infiltration of Valiance Keep by the Cult was based.^[2]
