Borea river

As seen from the Dragonblight.

An unnamed river runs from the largely drained Lake Wintergrasp, over a high waterfall, and down to the sea, forming the boundary between the Dragonblight and Borean Tundra. At its end, the river empties into the Frozen Sea through a wide delta that forms a myriad of tiny islands. It runs just near Westwind Refugee Camp. Coldwind Pass crosses over it.

Speculation

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

The name of this river is found in no source of lore. However, it may be called Borea river because the name of the area just beyond it, on the Borean Tundra-side, is known as the Transborea. The name Transborea would seem out of place in a region quite within the Borean Tundra, but if the name of the river was the Borea river, then the subzone's name would mean 'the land beyond the Borea river' (when viewed from the Dragonblight side).
