Rowie is a tuskarr child found in Iskaara in the Azure Span. He also appears out in the world, as a messenger who offers Renown-related quests for the Iskaara Tuskarr.
Background
After his mother, Kaqiata, was killed in Brackenhide, Rowie was distraught. He worried that since he'd never been good at skills like fighting and fishing, he had missed his chance to make his mom proud. He ran off to the cave of Toejam the Terrible near Iskaara, hoping that if he proved his strength by slaying the yeti, Kaqiata might see. Worried for his safety, his caretaker Auntie Kaunnie sent an adventurer to talk to him.[1]
The adventurer, who had spoken to Kaqiata's spirit at Brackenhide, told Rowie her final message: That she loved him and she was sorry.[2] He was touched, but he still felt he needed to prove himself. Fearful, Rowie sent the adventurer ahead into Toejam's cave to "soften him up a bit." Toejam turned out to be a gentle, curious creature who refused to fight. So instead of helping Rowie kill him, the adventurer convinced Toejam to play dead when Rowie hit him.
Ecstatic about his apparent victory, Rowie rushed back to Iskaara and began training. He aims to be the greatest warrior ever.[3]
He also attended the gathering at Amirdrassil when it bloomed on the Dragon Isles after Fyrakk's death.
