Basran is a bakar who serves as Sansok Khan's hearing dog in the Ohn'ahran Plains. The deaf Sansok has trained Basran specifically to be an extension of her senses by alerting her to various sounds during hunts and looking out for anything that needs her attention. He is Sansok's third bakar and the son of her first. Basran is first seen alongside Sansok at Timberstep Outpost before accompanying her to Maruukai.

Basran accompanied Sansok Khan to the Emerald Dream to fight against Fyrakk's forces. He was then seen with his master at Emerald Gardens when Amirdrassil bloomed on the Dragon Isles. Afterward, he accompanied Sansok Khan to attend the gathering at the World Tree.
