Antorus, the Burning Throne is a raid on Argus, in the Antoran Wastes. It is entered from a crack below the artillery platform near Felfire Armory, not the main gate, which kills all who walk near it. The main gates are never visited.

Adventure Guide

At the core of Argus lies Antorus, the Burning Throne. From this seat of power, Sargeras drives his burning crusade to ravage the cosmos. Within the Throne's nigh-impenetrable depths, primordial powers are forged into weapons of utter annihilation. Should these forces rise to serve their master, the final hour will fall upon all of creation.

Solo walkthrough

Zone in at [50, 70] by the Felfire Armory in the Antoran Wastes. Follow the path to the Garothi Worldbreaker at spot #1 and nuke it. Don't get sucked in by the Luring Destruction! Keep heading west across the bridge and then down northeast into the Den of the Devourers at #2. Depending on DPS output, the Felhounds of Sargeras must die at roughly the same time, but in a Dragonflight-and-beyond world, nuke the purple one while it's 40 yards away from the other, then quickly finish off the other boss.

Loop back uphill to the east, then counterclockwise to the northwest across the bridge (marked by two red X on the map) to the Gaze of the Legion. Push inward, and up the elevator (don't get squished!) to the triangular room at #3 where the Antoran High Command encounter takes place. Focus Admiral Sivrax down and the rest of the mechanics can be skipped.

Return down the elevator and southeast across the bridge to the mainland, then turn north and take the portal at #4 to the Halls of the Boundless Reach. Head west and nuke Portal Keeper Hasabel, then backtrack slightly and turn south to catch up with Magni Bronzebeard and Eonar. Cross into Elunaria and complete the Eonar the Life-Binder encounter. As this is a fight for survival (and not just nuking the boss), see the solo strategy section of Eonar's article for a full guide. Speak with Eonar after the encounter to return to the mainland and head south to #5 for another round of exposition.

Interact with the Lightforged Beacon at spot #5 and take the "The Exhaust" option to get to Imonar the Soulhunter. Run east briefly, then stop when the blast doors start closing. Let Imonar land, then blow him up. Run east into the Hallowed Felworks and blow up Kin'garoth as well. Another Lightforged Beacon ports in after Kin'garoth's death, so take it to the Burning Throne.

Push west in the Burning Throne to the Temple of Anguish and take out Varimathras and the Coven of Shivarra in either order. Keep pushing west to the World Soul and defeat Aggramar. It may be necessary to defeat the Flames of Taeshalach to break the immunity shield if the DPS output is not high enough. Once Aggramar is down, speak with Magni to port to the Seat of the Pantheon, where Argus the Unmaker awaits.

Transcript

Intro and trash to the Worldbreaker
High Exarch Turalyon yells: Lightforged, secure this position!
Image of Prophet Velen says: The Vindicaar will draw all the fire we can, Turalyon, but we cannot hold out long. You must disable their defenses!
High Exarch Turalyon yells: We will not fail you, Prophet.
High Exarch Turalyon yells: Champions, we'll keep these winged beasts occupied while you clear a path.
Garothi Worldbreaker says: Enemy contact. Deploying arsenal.
High Exarch Turalyon yells: We're gaining ground! Press the attack!
Garothi Worldbreaker yells: Hostile destroyed.
High Exarch Turalyon yells: Lightforged, fall back!
High Exarch Turalyon yells: Champions, bring that monstrosity down!
Post-Garothi Worldbreaker to Felhounds of Sargeras
Garothi Worldbreaker yells: Power core... rupturing...
Alleria Windrunner yells: Turalyon, I've started my assault on the northern front. I'll keep their forces occupied so you can hit the priority targets.
High Exarch Turalyon yells: Our forces are moving towards Legion high command. Buy us all the time you can, Alleria.
Lightforged Commander yells: Incoming Legion ships! Take cover!
Flameweaver says: You dare?!
Bladesworn Ravager says: My blade will cut through you.
Bladesworn Ravager says: Feel my wrath!
Lightforged Cleric says: There's nothing more I can do, commander. They're with the Light now.
Lightforged Commander says: They gave everything to this war. We must honor that sacrifice.
Illidan Stormrage yells: Sargeras has left us a few of his favorite pets to play with. Remove these abominations from the battlefield.
Post-Felhounds to Portal Keeper Hasabel
Illidan Stormrage yells: That's two demons down, but countless more await the attention of your blade.
Archmage Khadgar yells: Champions, there is a disturbance close to your location the likes of which I haven't felt since the opening of the Dark Portal.
Archmage Khadgar yells: If the Legion is using that hub to gather reinforcements, then it must be destroyed before we are overwhelmed.
Portal Keeper Hasabel yells: Every world in our path has fallen. Yours is next.
Post-Hasabel to Eonar
Portal Keeper Hasabel yells: It... cannot... be so...
Archmage Khadgar yells: Without their portals, the Legion is cut off from reinforcements. Now is the time to press our attack!
Magni Bronzebeard yells: Champions! I heard a familiar voice callin', so I fought me way inside this accursed place.
Image of Eonar yells: Champions, hear me. The Legion has breached my sanctuary, and my defenses will soon be overrun. Stand with me now, lest Sargeras claim his prize.
Magni Bronzebeard yells: It's Eonar, the Life-Binder! This portal leads ta her sanctuary. Go. I'll stay here and cover yer backs!
Post-Eonar to Antoran High Command
Eonar says: The tormented cries of the Pantheon ring out from deep within the core of Argus.
Eonar says: If Sargeras breaks them as he did Aggramar, no power in this universe will stop him.
Eonar says: Release them, champions, or your struggle will be for naught.
Flameweaver says: Wither before my might!
Prophet Velen yells: I recognize the trappings of the generals commanding the Legion's forces. Before Sargeras took our world, these generals martialed our armies and brought peace to Argus.
Prophet Velen yells: They betrayed everything we stood for when they accepted his bargain. There can be no redemption... only retribution.
Clobex yells: Such arrogance! You approach the Antoran High Command!
Clobex yells: Fall to your knees and I promise you a swift death.
Post-Antoran High Command to Imonar
Prophet Velen yells: The war council has finally paid for their treachery. Without their leadership, the Legion will fall into chaos.
Prophet Velen says: Well done, champions. For the first time in millennia, a blow has been struck against the denizens of the Burning Throne.
Prophet Velen says: Yet this battle is far from over. A great power roils in torment at this world's core.
Prophet Velen says: Rendezvous with the Vindicaar so we can prepare for the final attack.

Interact with the Lightforged Warframe:

Our ground forces have secured the area and the Vindicaar awaits your arrival. We can give you an escort. Are you ready to leave?

Gossip I'm ready.

The warframe flies to High Exarch Turalyon, Alleria Windrunner, Magni Bronzebeard, Prophet Velen, Illidan Stormrage, Archmage Khadgar, and Grand Artificer Romuul.
High Exarch Turalyon yells: The Legion's ranks are crumbling, but they still outnumber us. My forces will keep them engaged here.
Alleria Windrunner yells: You will not be fighting alone, Turalyon. The demons will pay for every step... with their blood.
Magni Bronzebeard says: Sargeras seeks ta corrupt the other titans! If we don't stop 'im, the Pantheon will be reborn in darkness. There's no time ta waste!
Illidan Stormrage says: Striking at the heart of the Legion is futile until we take out their war machines. Unchecked, they would soon overwhelm us.
Archmage Khadgar says: Agreed. We must cripple those infernal engines of destruction. Champions, use this teleporter to board the Vindicaar. On to our next target!

Interact with the Lightforged Beacon:

The Vindicaar awaits your orders, <name>. Where do we take the fight next?

Gossip The Exhaust

The Vindicaar flies off, dropping players off at the Exhaust.
Illidan Stormrage yells: Beyond these blast doors lies the heart of the Legion's war machine. Eliminating this threat will cripple the demons' arsenal.
The door ahead closes as a Legion ship flies out, bombarding the path.
Imonar the Soulhunter yells: Halt!
Imonar the Soulhunter yells: You'll go no further, mortal scum. There's a bounty on your heads, and I mean to collect.
Post-Imonar to Kin'garoth
Imonar the Soulhunter yells: I regret... taking... this job...
The Vindicaar blasts a hole in the door, allowing passage eastward.
Post-Kin'garoth to Varimathras
Kin'garoth yells: This was not in the instructions... -or- Now I'm just... extra parts.
Illidan Stormrage yells: The Legion is in its death throes. Time to put our boot to their throats. Return to the Vindicaar and prepare to strike the killing blow.
A Lightforged Beacon appears near the entrance. Take it to The Burning Throne. The Vindicaar flies off.
Illidan Stormrage says: The heart of Antorus lies before us. The power behind the Legion's infinite army.
Magni Bronzebeard says: So much agony here... so many voices. It's... it's nearly overwhelmin'! But I can feel Eonar urgin' us forward.
Prophet Velen says: At long last, the end is upon us. Press on, my friends.
Varimathras yells: Aaaarggh! Witches! You call that torment? I have endured far worse!
Noura, Mother of Flames says: I tire of that worm's babbling! Let me scorch the flesh from his miserable bones!
Asara, Mother of Night says: Ignore him, sister! Focus on your duty. These souls are nearly ready to join Aggramar in the master's service.
Magni Bronzebeard says: I feel those demons twistin' the spirits o' the titans! Forcin' 'em ta use their might ta serve the Legion!
Illidan Stormrage says: Should they fall to darkness, Sargeras will have the power he needs to claim the final titan.
Varimathras yells: It matters not. You are blind to the true darkness closing in around you.
Magni Bronzebeard says: Azeroth!
Varimathras yells: So, your Alliance still endures. Longer than I expected, though she has already planted the seeds of its downfall. She is patient, that one.
Varimathras yells: When your thrones run red with betrayal... when your holy places burn and the shattered mask hangs above your hearth... only then you will know. And it will be too late.
Post-Coven to Aggramar
Magni Bronzebeard says: The souls of the Pantheon are free, but they endured so much sufferin'. Let me bide with 'em fer a time. Offer a bit o' comfort.
Prophet Velen says: Remain here, Magni. The rest of us will go on.
Illidan Stormrage says: So close now to the end...
Prophet Velen says: This may be the one place in the universe sacred to the Legion. Demons would pluck out their eyes sooner than gaze upon it.
Illidan Stormrage says: Who could ever imagine such a sacrifice?
Post-Aggramar to Argus
Aggramar yells: It may be... too late to stop him...
Magni Bronzebeard says: Ye did it! Aggramar's essence is free! He can stand beside his brethren once more.
Illidan Stormrage says: Our victories mean nothing. So long as Sargeras has the soul of Argus to fuel his infinite army, Azeroth remains in grave peril.
Magni Bronzebeard says: The titans can sever that connection... but not here. They need ta bring the soul o' Argus ta their place o' power... the Seat o' the Pantheon.
Prophet Velen says: The very cradle of creation!
Magni Bronzebeard says: Their final act will harness the last o' Argus's power, to imprison Sargeras... once and for all.
Magni Bronzebeard says: Heroes, I can signal the titans ta begin. Once they start their ritual... there's no turnin' back!

Speak with Magni Bronzebeard:

Are ye ready, <name>?

Gossip I'm ready.

An in-engine cutscene starts:

The camera circles around Magni Bronzebeard as he channels a spell.
Magni Bronzebeard: All right, everybody... Hold on!
He finishes the spell and teleports away. The scene fades to white. A pre-rendered cinematic follows:
Seat of the Pantheon. Interior. The scene fades from white, focused on Magni as the teleport finishes. With a whoa of amazement, he looks around.
Magni Bronzebeard: The seat of the Pantheon.
The six titans teleport in, in constellar form standing at their seats. In the center, a green world soul appears. The titans cast a spell into it, gaining their humanoid forms as they attempt to sever Argus from Sargeras. The spell does not go as planned, and the feedback from the failure stuns the titans. The world soul turns red. In the distance, an ominous green cloud swirling over Azeroth pulses as a booming voice addresses the raid and the Pantheon.
Sargeras: That which you have stolen will be your undoing.
The world soul grows in size and power, gaining the humanoid form of Argus the Unmaker.
Sargeras: Rise, Argus. Rise, my broken world.
Argus the Unmaker lets out a roar of fury matched only by its endless torment. A scythe born of celestial energies manifests in his hand as his skin color shifts from red to blue.
Aman'Thul: Mortals... The time has come to fight for the fate of your world.
Post-Argus
A pre-rendered cutscene plays: With Argus fallen, Aman'Thul addresses the champions of Azeroth.
Aman'Thul: You have done well, mortals.
Eonar: It is time.
Aman'Thul: We must gather our strength. Return home, children of Azeroth.
As the Vindicaar teleports the others away, Velen turns to Illidan.
Prophet Velen: Illidan... we've done all we can.
Illidan Stormrage: Every choice, every sacrifice has led me to THIS moment.
Illidan stares at an empty throne in the Seat of the Pantheon - the throne of Sargeras.
Illidan Stormrage: To face HIM once again.
Prophet Velen: You... are not coming with us?
Illidan Stormrage: The hunter is nothing without the hunt. Did you not see this fate, Prophet?
Prophet Velen: Fate? Our survival was never in fate's hands.
Smiling knowingly, Illidan approaches the throne.
Prophet Velen: Light be with you, Illidan Stormrage.
As Velen is teleported away, the Vindicaar breaks off and travels back through the rift to Azeroth. The Pantheon seat themselves in their thrones and channel their powers into a great astral beam that passes the Vindicaar, breaking through to the dark cloud enveloping Azeroth.
Aman'Thul: Brother! Your crusade is over!
As Velen, Magni, and Khadgar watch aboard the Vindicaar, the infernal form of Sargeras himself is pulled from the dark cloud, roaring with rage. He glares bitterly at the energies threatening to pull him from his long-sought prize.
Sargeras: NO!
Summoning a massive sword, Sargeras stabs it through the atmosphere of Azeroth and deep into its surface before the pull of the Pantheon becomes too strong. As he is pulled away, Sargeras tries in vain to grab the fleeing Vindicaar, before he is teleported into his throne in the Seat of the Pantheon. Illidan stands before him, blades at the ready.
Illidan Stormrage: At last...
With a flash, the rift opened by the  [Sargerite Keystone] closes. Watching the blinking star that remains, Velen sighs and closes his eyes, relieved that the Burning Crusade is at last over. But down on the surface of Azeroth, the blade of Sargeras stands above the gaping wound it left in the sands of Silithus...

Post-encounter gossip:

Vereesa Windrunner

Alleria has changed. She wields powers I do not fully comprehend. But in her heart, she remains my beloved sister. I know it.

The news of Sylvanas weighs heavily upon her. There are matters to be settled... face to face.

The Windrunner sisters must meet. And there is only one place it can be done.

Arator the Redeemer

I found them! At long last, I found them.

<Arator's smile gives way to a look of uncertainty.>

The two people who gave me life... have been absent for all of it. I know they fought to keep me safe, that they sacrificed so much. And yet...

We cannot suddenly become a happy family. They know next to nothing about me, and I know only legends of them. We have much to learn about one another, and many wounds to heal.

But at least we will do it together.

Alleria Windrunner

My heart soars to return to Azeroth alongside Arator and Turalyon. To see the forests of my homeland once again.

And yet...

Vereesa told me what has befallen Sylvanas. Though I dread the meeting, I must see with my own eyes what she has become.

Is she even my sister anymore? Or some Light-forsaken monster?

But of course, I have changed as well. The powers at my command may cause some to question my loyalties.

<Alleria draws in a long breath.>

I must remain calm, focused. There is much to ponder...

High Exarch Turalyon

At long last, the war is over.

Part of me never expected to survive to see this day. So many battles. So much loss.

<Turalyon sighs, his eyes brimming with a flood of emotions.>

Now we return home to a world I haven't walked in a thousand years.

My old life is long past. It is time to build a new one, and get to know the son who embodies everything I fought for.

Prophet Velen

Countless nights I dreamt of returning to Argus. Of seeing what became of my home. Of saving it.

<Velen is quiet for a long moment.>

There was no salvation to be had. But we did find victory.

What comes next, I cannot say. But I will not wait for visions to guide me. I will do all I can to support King Anduin, and to ensure he is prepared to face the threat that looms in the darkness.

Archmage Khadgar

The campaign against the Legion has been long and wearying. We have traversed entire worlds, spanned the Twisting Nether itself to finally achieve victory.

I am tired, <name>. Yet we cannot rest.

Magni's visions of doom shake me to my very core. Only one titan remains, champion, and we must defend it.

Grand Artificer Romuul

The Vindicaar may have been untested when we set out on this campaign, but she saw us safely home.

All those ship upgrades were worth it, yes?

Do not answer. It would only break my heart.

A ship's engineer's work is always underappreciated.

Notes

  • The elevator leading to the Antoran High Command will crush the player if they are in the elevator's path.[2]
  • There was a dialogue of the characters witnessing Sargeras's arrival and him enveloping of Azeroth. It never made it live, likely because his arrival was depicted in the ending cinematic instead.[3]
  • During PTR, Antorus' adventure guide entry read: Lead the Army of the Light into battle against the Burning Legion in their hallowed capital to destroy them once and for all!
