Elevator bosses are among the deadliest bosses in World of Warcraft, and have been featured in several instances and locations since The Burning Crusade. Unsuspecting players have occasionally been killed by these monstrosities.
Elevator bosses can be found in the following locations:
Shattrath City: the elevator to Scryer's Tier does not cause deadly damage unless the player is already on low health, although the one to Aldor Rise can kill a player. However, as many players use flying mounts in Shattrath this is normally not an issue.
The very first boss of the instance. Strategies include standing on it in time, or the player(s) will take deadly fall damage. This can be avoided by priests using [Levitate] and mages using [Slow Fall]. Paladins can temporarily shield themselves with [Divine Shield] and others with [Hand of Protection].
One of the deadliest and the third boss of the instance, available after killing Omnotron Defense System and Magmaw. Levitate and Safe Fall should be used with caution as it can cause players to fall into the pit of lava, or aggro Onyxia thus starting the Nefarian's End encounter.
2 different elevator bosses; one to the immediate left of the raid entrance upon entering and the other one is unlocked after killing a couple of bosses.
