Allari the Souleater is a blood elven demon hunter of the Illidari. Unlike other demon hunters, she doesn't wield a pair of warglaives but instead a weapon called the Scythe of Souls. She is first seen in the demon hunter starting experience, on Mardum and in the Vault of the Wardens. All classes eventually encounter her at the Illidari Stand in Azsuna. For demon hunters, she is present aboard the Fel Hammer.

Mission to Mardum

Allari the Souleater.

By the time of the invasion of Outland, Allari was one of the demon hunters chosen by Illidan Stormrage to retrieve the Sargerite Keystone from Mardum, the Shattered Abyss. She was first encountered with Questioner Arev'naal, interrogating him. He told her of the new demons known as jailers and of captured demon hunters. After gaining enough information, she grabbed Questioner Arev'naal and imprisoned him in her scythe. From one of the demons she investigated, she learned of a tome being held by an imp mother named Prolifica. After stealing the tome, she read from it and learned the ways of Havoc and Vengeance.

Capture and freedom

Following the assault on Mardum, after recovering the Sargerite Keystone, Allari and the other Illidari returned to the Black Temple, only to find Illidan defeated. The Betrayer's body was imprisoned by Maiev Shadowsong and her Wardens within the Vault of the Wardens, soon followed by Allari and the demon hunters present, where they were all locked in stasis for many years. As the Legion launched their third invasion of Azeroth, Maiev set the demon hunters free to help her stop an assault by Gul'dan. Along the way, Allari helped re-imprison and take out some of the prisoners.

After the Battle for the Broken Shore, Allari led the Illidari delegation to the Horde in Orgrimmar, where they overheard of Vol'jin's death. During the former Warchief's funeral ceremony at Dranosh'ar Blockade, she and the demon hunter adventurer exposed the demonic infiltrators, eventually fending off an attack, and earning the trust of Warchief Sylvanas Windrunner and the Horde leadership in their joined cause against the Burning Legion.

Battling the Legion

Allari was later sent to retrieve the Aldrachi Warblades on the Broken Shore. Unfortunately, she was overpowered by Caria Felsoul and was left to die hanging on a column. She was eventually rescued by the demon hunter adventurer, and after a quick pause both of them moved forward. They took out the demons Gorgonnash and Doomherald Ak'vesh. When the blades were recovered, Allari provided escort on felbats and left the island before the demonic reinforcements arrived.

If Kayn Sunfury was the second in command of the demon hunters, Allari would use her powers to rip the Shade of Akama out from Akama.

Allari was later seen in Azsuna, where she was interrogating demons at the Illidari Stand. She had been capturing demon souls to try and gain information about the Burning Legion but to no avail. The reason for this was thanks to the efforts of Questioner Arev'naal, who had been helping the demons resist. She decided to fight him inside her soul gem to get the whereabouts of Illidan's body. Unfortunately, the demon was slain before revealing it. The only thing he mentioned was that the Illidari were betrayed from within.

At some point, Professor Pallin wished to create glyphs for demon hunters, but didn't know much about them. He sent one of his students to meet with Allari to explain what it meant to be a demon hunter. After proving their worth by observing and helping them kill the invading demons, she sent the scribe to Baric Stormrunner and Zaria Shadowheart to understand their class fully.

On the Fel Hammer, Allari helped restore the ship by capturing some souls to power it and helped locate the traitors Caria Felsoul and Varedis Felsoul on Niskara. She also had a discussion with Loramus about making warglaives with  [Obliterum]. With the ship repaired, the Fel Hammer made the jump to Niskara and the Illidari began their invasion. Allari was among the demon hunters that accompanied the Slayer to the surface and aided in slaying the traitors, Caria and Varedis. With a terrible blow dealt to the Legion, Allari and Jace Darkweaver were promoted to order hall champions for the instrumental roles they played during the invasion of Niskara.

Allari was also the one who helped adventurers recover Illidan's soul by creating a  [Soul Prism of the Illidari].

She uses the Scythe of Souls to reap the demonic in unthinkable ways - the information and power she's extracted has already proven invaluable numerous times in key battles against the Legion. Tired with the Illidari's lack of progress against stopping the flow of demons into Azeroth, Allari seeks someone new to follow who can put her power to proper use."
  • The second one has the following description:  Champion: Allari the Souleater — "Allari the Souleater is the wielder of the artifact known as the Scythe of Souls. In addition to her own magical mastery over capturing demon souls, the Scythe grants her incredible powers. Few others are as effective in bringing the Burning Legion to its knees."
