Biography

Early Life

Anya was born about thirty years before the Dark Portal opened. Despite coming from a family of Rangers, Anya showed a great talent for magic, which resulted in her being sent to Dalaran for training.

Flight to Kalimdor

When Jaina Proudmoore began gathering people to sail west to Kalimdor, Anya was among those who sailed west with her. While sailing to Kalimdor, she met Frankie Joseph, a young Warrior from the Lordaeron village of Andorhal. During the sea voyage, they become fast friends and eventually lovers. She fought in Jaina's forces' early battles against the Orcs but when she found out she was pregnant, she was pulled from combat. Following the Battle of Mt. Hyjal, Anya and Frankie officially get married. Two moths later, Illyasviel is born.

Theramore Raptors

Anya convinces Frankie to form a mercenary group that handles the jobs that the Theramore army cannot. After completing their first job to destroy a raptor camp, they decided to call themselves the Theramore Raptors. Anya handled the behind the scenes work such as recruiting and accepting jobs, and occasionally helped out on missions. She also began training Amber Gates.

Death

Anya and Frankie's marriage began having problems. Anya and Amber went out on a mission given by a shady person to Alcaz Island. However, the mission was a setup; Eye of Azeroth ambushed Anya, and Amber killed her while she was distracted. Amber returned to Theramore and reported that Anya sacrificed herself to save her. Anya's body was recovered shortly thereafter from Alcaz Island and buried outside Theramore Isle.
