Suncrown Village is a ruined high elven village, located in the northeastern area of the Ghostlands.
History
Every year, the village's denizens would take part in a ritual to keep the different aspects of nature under their control; their dominion over the element of water was symbolized by the summoning and enslavement of an elemental named Aquantion. One year, Aquantion eventually subverted the elves' spellcasting and slew them, enslaving their spirits beneath Lake Elrendar.[1]
During the burning of Quel'Thalas, one fire was near the village. Sylvanas ordered for citizens to be evacuated.[2]
Suncrown Village was destroyed during the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas. For several years afterward, it was home to a group of Scourge nerubians led by Anok'suten.
While Suncrown Village was rebuilt in the intervening years since the Invasion of Outland, it has been destroyed once more by the Lightbloom: unchecked, uncontrollable plant growth caused by the Sunwell.
