The Priory of the Sacred Flame is a dungeon in The War Within, located in western Hallowfall high on a rise, close to Beledar.
Getting there
The instance line is located at [42, 50] in northwestern Mereldar.
Exterior inhabitants
The exterior of the priory is at [38, 35] in the central western part of the zone, high on a rise overlooking Mereldar. Players are directed here in 
[75-78] Go to the Priory, in the optional The Priory chapter of the Hallowfall storyline, which eventually tasks players with clearing out the dungeon itself in [75-78D] Priory of the Sacred Flame: A Brother's Grief.
The priory is bordered by the Undersea to the west and north, Velhan's Claim to the northeast, Lorel's Crossing to the east, the Hungering Pool (and Sinkhole delve) to the southeast, Mereldar to the south, and the Veneration Grounds (and Nightfall Sanctum delve) to the southwest.

The Priory of the Sacred Flame was built for ardent worshipers to contemplate the mystery of the emperor's vision. The acolytes have become withdrawn from the people of Mereldar, looking down upon them with disdain for their weak faith. Sister Etna Blayze has called for help to investigate what secrets lay hidden in the inner sanctum of Prioress Murpray.

Narrative
The quest [75-78D] Priory of the Sacred Flame: A Brother's Grief leads to the dungeon.
- Sanctified Grounds
Upon entering the Sanctified Grounds:
- Arathi Footman yells: Intruders at the gate!
- Sister Etna Blayze says: The expedition built the Priory as a place to contemplate the mysteries of Beledar.
- Sister Etna Blayze says: But of late, the devotees have become secretive. Hostile.
- Sister Etna Blayze says: The guards sought to kill you? Captain Dailcry is protecting something.
- Sister Etna Blayze says: Each of his lieutenants bolsters his tactics. Draw them away and defeat them.
Around the grounds the party can find: Guard Captain Suleyman, High Priest Aemya, and Forge Master Damian. Defeat two of them before engaging Captain Dailcry.
Upon defeating Guard Captain Suleyman:
- Guard Captain Suleyman yells: The training grounds have been breached!
- Captain Dailcry yells: Shaynemail, your training grounds fall to the intruders!
- Sergeant Shaynemail comes and fights the party.
Upon defeating High Priest Aemya:
- High Priest Aemya yells: Intruders have desecrated the altar!
- Captain Dailcry yells: Taener, the intruders defile the altar of the Sacred Flame!
- Taener Duelmal comes and fights the party.
Upon defeating Forge Master Damian:
- Captain Dailcry yells: Elaena, they have stopped the production of our weapons!
- Forge Master Damian yells: Invaders have infiltrated the forge!
- Elaena Emberlanz comes and fights the party.
Upon defeating two of the above:
- Captain Dailcry yells: Hold! I see their gambit. They seek to ambush me without my lieutenants.
- Sister Etna Blayze says: You won't peel off any more. You must defeat Dailcry now.
Captain Dailcry description:
Captain Dailcry commands the grounds of the Priory of the Sacred Flame. He drills the acolytes in the approved martial disciplines of the empire and ensures that their training and loyalty are of imperial quality.
Encounter overview:
Captain Dailcry is protected by his Trusted Guards, who gain 
[Strength in Numbers] while near each other. Captain Dailcry's loyal mount, Ember, ravages his enemies with Savage Mauling while he rallies his allies with a courageous Battle Cry.
Upon start of combat:
- Captain Dailcry yells: Ours is the true path for the Arathi!
- Captain Dailcry yells: Feel Ember's wrath!
- Captain Dailcry yells: Put an end to these heathens!
Upon defeat:
- Captain Dailcry yells: I go... in glory...
- Sister Etna Blayze says: Dailcry was an Arathi hero. How could the Priory force him to turn against Hallowfall?
- Priory of the Sacred Flame
The gates to the priory are now open, and the party can enter.
- Prioress Murrpray yells: Are these Steelstrike's lackeys? Guards! Guards!
Upon defeating the first wave of guards:
- Prioress Murrpray yells: No, they belong to that old fool, Sister Blayze. Destroy these outsiders!
- Prioress Murrpray yells: Her usefulness to the empire has passed. Soon the true faithful will arise, and the Arathi will be mighty!
Upon defeating the second wave of guards:
- Prioress Murrpray says: They've served their purpose. Baron, demonstrate your worth.
- Baron Braunpyke says: Those who oppose the emperor will fall at our feet!
Baron Braunpyke's description:
Distraught over the death of his brother, Baron Braunpyke has pledged his loyalty to Prioress Murpray. The powerful knight now acts as her personal enforcer, protecting the secrets of the Priory from both outsiders and insufficiently loyal Arathi.
Encounter overview:
Baron Braunpyke bends the light to his will, hurling his Castigator's Shield, and summoning Hammers of Purity from above. Upon reaching 100 Holy energy, Braunpyke empowers his abilities with Vindictive Wrath.
Upon start of combat:
- Baron Braunpyke yells: By the emperor's will!
During combat:
- Baron Braunpyke yells: Glory guides my hammer!
- Baron Braunpyke yells: By fire I am healed!
- Baron Braunpyke yells: By my shield!
Upon defeat:
- Baron Braunpyke yells: My first... defeat...
- Sister Etna Blayze says: Murrpray has warped the Priory from a place of contemplation to an uprising. Why?
- Sister Etna Blayze says: She has always preached of the strength of the emperor's will. But to turn against us is madness.
- Inner Sanctum
Upon entering the inner sanctum of the priory where Prioress Murrpray can be found resurrecting Sir Theleon Braunpyke:
- Prioress Murrpray yells: Beledar is the crucible. It burns away weakness. Its blinding light reveals the strength we Arathi lacked.
- Prioress Murrpray yells: With an army of the risen, the Arathi will defeat the nerubians, conquer Khaz Algar, and subjugate the world!
- Sister Etna Blayze says: No! Such heresy! They defile the Sacred Flame by animating the dead. They are no better than the kobyss!
Upon defeating Sir Braunpyke:
- Prioress Murrpray yells: No Arathi leaves the emperor's service. Even in death!
Prioress Murpray's description:
Prioress Haelsey Murpray directed the building of the Priory of the Sacred Flame to contemplate the sacred star Beledar. Insight into the emperor's vision has proved elusive. Instead, she has discovered secrets of the Sacred Flame that will bring them victory over their enemies in Hallowfall, and at home in the empire.
Encounter overview:
Prioress Murpray harnesses the power of the Sacred Flame to vanquish her foes, burning them with its purifying beam of light. Upon reaching 50% health, Murpray retreats to the Sacred Flame and shrouds herself with a Barrier of Light while calling upon her devoted followers.
Upon start of combat:
- Prioress Murrpray yells: The Sacred Flame will cleanse your transgressions!
During combat:
- Prioress Murrpray yells: Flames take you!
- Prioress Murrpray yells: By blaze be purified!
- Prioress Murrpray yells: Brothers and Sisters! Harken to the Flame!
Upon defeat:
- Prioress Murrpray yells: The Empire will... see you burn...
- Sister Etna Blayze says: It is done. These zealots no longer steer our faith towards destruction.

- The dungeon was announced as "Priory of the Sacred Flame" at BlizzCon 2023, but early alpha maps used the name Priori of the Imperial Order.
