Mount equipment

Mount equipment slot in the Mounts tab.

Mount equipment disabled while on a mount with its own ability.

Mount equipment offers items that can be equipped in the mount equipment slot and grants a buff to all mounts. Examples include water walking, a slow fall, and the ability to not be dazed. It unlocks at level 10.

Notes

• Mount equipment has no effect in battlegrounds or arenas.
• All water strider mounts originally had innate water-walking, but lost the ability with the implementation of mount equipment. Players who owned a water strider mount prior to patch 8.2 were mailed the  [Anglers' Water Striders] equipment for free as compensation.
• The following do not benefit from mount equipment: aquatic mounts,  [Sky Golem],  [Mechanized Lumber Extractor], and the patch 11.0.7 broom mounts ( [Love Witch's Sweeper],  [Silvermoon Sweeper],  [Sky Witch's Sweeper], and  [Twilight Witch's Sweeper]).
• Originally, hitting level 100 on one character would unlock the system and once unlocked, it would be available to alts while the equipment pieces themselves required level 20. This was changed with patch 9.0.1, requiring level 10 for each character before they could use the system and equipment.

Patch changes

• Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Level requirement reduced from 100 to 10 and now unlocks per-character instead of account-wide.
