Light-Step Hoofplates are mount equipment that increases ground mount speed by 20%.
The effect is to increase your mount's ground speed by 20%. It does not work in Battlegrounds or Arena and it does not stack with other mount speed effects. For example:
- Guild Perk
[Mount Up] - increases speed while mounted by 10%. Not active in Battlegrounds or Arenas. 
[Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part One] - increases mounted movement speed in Zandalar and Kul Tiras by 20%.
[Monel-Hardened Hoofplates] - increases mounted movement speed in Zandalar and Kul Tiras by 20% for 2 hours (4 hours for Blacksmiths)
[Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One] - increases mounted movement speed in the Broken Isle by 20%- Death Knight passive
[On a Pale Horse]
They do not work on mounts that have another effect, such as the 
[Sky Golem] and [Mechanized Lumber Extractor] used for herbalism, and mounts such as the Sea Turtle that are not affected by mount speed increases.
Druids may find they do not work with their ground Mount Form at the start of a new expansion.
