Kynthia is an Ascended kyrian from the Temple of Courage who was taken captive by the House of Constructs and brought to their stronghold in Maldraxxus. She and her surviving friends were later freed by Maw Walkers and chose to stay in Maldraxxus for a time to help the Maw Walkers' allies in the House of the Chosen before returning home to Bastion.
Biography
Kynthia is in a romantic relationship with her fellow Ascended Apolon. The two of them often used to sneak off to watch the anima flows together.[1]
Alongside many other kyrian, Kynthia was captured during the House of Constructs and House of Rituals' attack on the Temple of Courage and taken to the Construct stronghold in Maldraxxus, where she was held imprisoned by an Orb of Power in the Hall of Chains.[2] She watched the other kyrian getting tortured, including the blinding of Aspirant Thales. She found some solace in talking to him and the three stewards Hipokos, Kou, and Koa, but with each day she lost more hope that their allies would show up. Back in Bastion, Apolon feared for what had happened to his love, but his soulbind Artemede reminded him to have faith in Kynthia's strength.[1]
Eventually, a Maw Walker allied with the House of the Chosen arrived in the House of Constructs and helped Thales free Kynthia and the stewards. She declared that the Constructs would know her wrath[2] and relocated to Spider's Watch, from where she helped Maw Walkers carry out bombing runs on the Constructs.[3]
Kynthia later partook in the joint kyrian and necrolord assault on the Constructs, during which she was reunited with Apolon. The two sprinted to embrace each other before fighting side by side.[1] At the start of the assault, Kynthia stayed aboard the Zerekriss with Apolon and Artemede.[4] She later arrived to the Hall of Chains to report that Alexandros Mograine's forces at the Stitchyard were being overrun and subsequently flew the Maw Walkers there to reinforce him.[5] After the battle, Kynthia decided that she and her friends had to stay in Maldraxxus and continue to help the House of the Chosen who had taken them in.[1]
After the battle of Desmotaeron, she and the other former Construct captives visited the Seat of the Primus to witness Draka's promotion ceremony.[6] With the Chosen being set upon their path again, Kynthia, Thales, and the stewards finally returned to Bastion.[1] She later escorted the repentant Forsworn Nikolon and a Forsworn Representative to the Eonian Archives to speak with Polemarch Adrestes,[7] and shortly after traveled to Elysian Hold for the Archon's announcement that the Citadel of Loyalty would be rededicated as the Temple of Devotion, with Adrestes as its Paragon.[8] Kynthia subsequently accompanied Adrestes, Kleia, Nikolon, Uther, and a Maw Walker to the Citadel to reclaim it from the Forsworn occupying it. She and Kleia joined Adrestes at the top of the temple and helped protect him from attacking Mawsworn while he used anima to rededicate the temple.[9]
Kynthia attended Adrestes' promotion ceremony at the Seat of the Archon alongside Apolon and her friends from Maldraxxus. During the event, she thanked the Maw Walker who had saved her from the House of Constructs and told them that she was happy to be back home and reunited with her love.[1]
