Waywatcher Alvi is a bronze drakonid located at the Passage of Time in Thaldraszus. She comes from a family of the Waywatchers[1] and likes to draw things.

As a Waywatcher, Alvi was stationed at the mouth of the Passage of Time during the war against the Primalists but her performance was stated to be less than satisfactory by a fellow guard. She was supposed to report to her sister Nori in Gelikyr Post each morning, but by the time adventurers came to the area, Alvi missed it by one day, and Nori insisted she be directed to her. When the adventurer found her, she was in a bit of a mess.[1] She had stepped out of her camp, the tarasek snatched up her ledger and supplies. She panicked as the supplies were expensive. She revealed that among her stuff was a sketchbook as she liked painting more than scouting. When the adventurer was looking for her stuff, she went scouting further into the pass, and the adventurer met her there once all the items had been collected. In the meantime, Nori also arrived at the pass but got injured and poisoned. Alvi was determined to fix the situation[2][3] and so wanted to use her knowledge to create an antidote as well as enact revenge on the tarasek responsible for the attack, Bluescale of the Emberscale. Alvi kept Nori stable and when the adventurer killed Bluescale and obtained the poison, Alvi recognized the sap, created the antivenom, and applied it.[4][5] To stop the Emberscale and prevent future attacks and injuries, Alvi asked the adventurer to destroy spear caches and destroy the Greater Venomsprout whose sap the tarasek were using for their poison, while she took Nori back to camp. Back in the safety, Alvi apologized for not doing her duties properly, while Nori understood that her passion was painting and understood that it was thanks to her art that she was able to save her life. Nori let Alvi to take some time and see the rest of the Dragon Isles with her sketchbook in hand.[6][7]

Afterward, she can be seen in the painting area at Emerald Gardens in the Ohn'ahran Plains.

Gossip

At Alvi's camp at the Passage of Time

Mind yourself if you intend to travel through this pass. The tarasek that live in the area have begun to attack anyone who looks like they have valuables to steal.

With the poisoned Nori inside the Passage of Time
This is all my fault. If I had actually been doing my job, then Nori would not have had to come looking for me. Now she's hurt, and I--I don't know what to do.
I have to make things right, for Nori's sake.
After killing Bluescale

With Blueclaw[sic] gone, the tarasek won't be nearly as organized. The roads should be much safer.

Still, we need to deal with that poison.

Back at the camp after killing Greater Venomsprout

It looks like the worst of the danger has passed for now. With the tarasek incursion quelled, the Passage should become safe for travelers once again.

Emerald Gardens, Ohn'ahran Plains

It is good to see you, friend! I've just started on my latest work.

I have a good feeling about this one. Nori says she will hang it up back at Gelikyr if it's up to snuff.

Gossip What makes you who you are?

At some level, I have always known my path was to be an artist.

I simply did not fit into the mold of Waywatcher.

I am much happier now that I have accepted it, instead of trying to force myself to be something I am not.

It is a strange sort of peace, to finally stop fighting it.

To accept that sometimes, you must defy others' expectations of you.

On approach
No, no! They took everything! My supplies, my effects...
Wait! Where is my--oh, blast it all...
