The Nerubian Empire is a fan-concept race for Warcraft 3 that depicts the Nerubians at the height of their power, just prior to their downfall and assimilation into the Scourge. Pockets of their resistance still linger through the Third War, clinging to remnants of ancient nobility and tradition.

The nerubians utilize swarms of cheap fodder to overwhelm their enemies, setting traps and ambushes in their wake as they retreat back into their subterranean caverns. Adherent to a complex caste system, they also utilize a unique Satiation mechanic; nerubian strategists can allocate excess food to strengthen the elite members of their armies. The drawback is less supply for their swarms of the Low Caste warriors, requiring a balance of restraint and satiation to best command this kingdom of ancient fiends.
