Talrendis Point before the Cataclysm.

Talrendis Point is a large night elven outpost located in southwestern Azshara. It has two guard towers (the northern one occupying the area of the former Shadowsong Shrine), a moonwell^[10, 74] in the southern part, and a building in the western area.

Though friendly to Alliance players, the town offers no services to them. The NPCs exist only as Horde quest fodder.

History

World of Warcraft

The subject of this section has been removed from World of Warcraft but is present in Classic Era.

It was originally a small night elven encampment on the border with Ashenvale.

Due to its proximity to the bridge between Azshara and Ashenvale, it was also a good starting place for players who needed to quickly reach eastern Ashenvale, though the addition of a flight master in Forest Song in patch 2.1 made this unnecessary.

Cataclysm

This section concerns content related to Cataclysm.

The small camp has been largely fortified and expanded.

After the arrival of the Bilgewater Cartel, the Horde made a push into Azshara. Talrendis Point was assaulted from Valormok, as the last (and only) defense of the Alliance at Ashenvale's doorstep. Horde adventurers killed several guards, attacked the leadership, and blew two towers and command center.

Chawg reported that after the Horde offensive on the Point, pockets of resistance around Valormok remained, but that this rearguard action appeared to be masking a full-fledged retreat to Ashenvale.^[1]

Legion Invasion

This section concerns content related to Legion.

During Legion Invasions, Talrendis Point became the staging ground for Alliance adventurers in Azshara and regularly came under attack by demons. Its glaive throwers became pilotable by the champions.
