Quel'Lithien Lodge

Quel'Lithien Lodge is a high elven hunting lodge near the entrance to Quel'Thalas. It was one of two major concentrations of high elves in Lordaeron.
History
Quel'Lithien Lodge was once a commonly-visited Farstrider camp. Lor'themar Theron spent some time here, and recalls being greeted warmly by his compatriots at the lodge during his visits. It housed a number of elven documents, even some pertaining to the royal family and the Ranger-General of Silvermoon.[1]
Third War and aftermath
The lodge fell on hard times following the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas. It was here that the banished rangers under Renthar Hawkspear took up residence after Grand Magister Rommath's return from Outland; Renthar and his group had dissented against Rommath's teachings on moral grounds. To avoid the nation becoming divided on the issue, as the teachings had been an essential boon to the elves, Lor'themar, now Quel'Thalas' regent, exiled the group south. The priestess Aurora Skycaller was among the exiles. From then on, the lodge served as their home.[1]
Quel'Lithien eventually came under attack from Horde agents on behalf of Nathanos Blightcaller, who killed a number of rangers at the lodge and took the 
[Quel'Thalas Registry].[2]
Much happened in Quel'Thalas in the years that followed, of which the lodge remained unaware. Lor'themar - now the sole leader of the Kingdom of Quel'Thalas - made a final journey to the lodge. He informed the exiles of the recent events that had transpired, telling the tale of Kael'thas Sunstrider's downfall and the restoration of the Sunwell. With the Ghostlands in a safer state, the regent offered Renthar and his company regular aid and supplies. However, Renthar was outraged, outright refused to accept any aid, and threatened to kill anyone Lor'themar might send bearing it. The regent mourned for the losses the lodge had incurred, but in his heart could not fault the exiles for their anger. He left the lodge feeling only sorrow.[1]
Cataclysm and aftermath
By the time of the Cataclysm, all the elves at the lodge became wretched after Ranger Lord Hawkspear found an item of seductive energy.[3] Only Kirkian Dawnshield and Hawkspear himself managed to escape their fate. While Dawnshield chose to seek out personal assistance at the base of the nearby Northpass Tower, asking any adventurers who would listen to put his family out of their misery, Hawkspear, now known as "Death-Hunter", could be found to the side of the Argent Crusade's corpse burning pit down below, looking off at his former home in the distance. The former Ranger Lord was apparently focused on destroying the undead, awaiting for people to help him in that purpose, but none have yet to make such an offer. He is one of several rare mobs who can be attacked by adventurers of both factions.
In the following years, it was revealed that Kriss Goldenlight was also alive, having found her way to the Seat of Knowledge in Pandaria.

Notes
- Although the lodge's inhabitants were friendly to Alliance players until Cataclysm, there is nothing to suggest they were an official part of it. It is strongly suggested in In the Shadow of the Sun that the lodge was autonomous and received no outside support.
- The lodge's fate is ironic, as the elves who dwelled there were the most fierce opponents of mana draining and abstained from it entirely–they ended up becoming wretched, which only occurs after draining far too much arcane magic.
