This article contains lore or information taken from Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and/or its manual.

This is where the raw wood supplied by peasant harvesters is made into building supplies, arrows, and catapults. The ability to craft wood to the specific shapes and sizes needed to make certain buildings makes them an essential part of your community. The Mill can also provide your Archers with better shafts for their arrows that will make them fly truer, and increase the amount of damage that they inflict.[1]

Information

Lumber Mills are used to upgrade the attack of your Archers. Furthermore, the construction of advanced structures is only available once a Lumber Mill is up and running.

Notes

The computer player never researches Arrow Strength upgrades during missions. There are two missions where the enemy begins with both upgrades:

Trivia

  • In versions 1.00 and 1.01, Archers gained bonus damage from Sword Strength upgrades, making the Arrow Strength upgrades pointless to research. In addition, only the first upgrade could be researched, with the second one being locked behind a Purchase Release Version of Warcraft wall. (Though if this is bypassed through memory editing, players will find the 2nd upgrade does nothing, like the 1st).
