Greeter Mnemis is a centurion located in the Vestibule of Eternity in Bastion. Their function is to welcome those newly arrived to Bastion and to answer any questions they might have about the realm and its denizens.
They were created by Mikanikos, the Forgelite Prime.[1] When the anima drought started and new souls stopped coming to Bastion they were deactivated to conserve anima. The centurion stayed like that until, for the first time in years, a new arrival came into the Vestibule of Eternity. This was no soul however but a living mortal hailing from Azeroth, a Maw Walker who had come to Bastion from Oribos trying to find out why there were kyrians among the Mawsworn. Kleia, the aspirant who had been there when the Maw Walker arrived, asked them to reactivate the Greeter with the anima gathered from nearby centurions with the help of Sika.[2] Once activated it provided information and guidance to the Maw Walker as if they were a normal soul coming to Bastion to start their journey on becoming an ascended kyrian.[3] They were deactivated shortly after that by Kalisthene who had sensed the reactivation of the Greeter, stating that they could ill afford the anima expenditure.[4]
When the Maw Walker decided to join the Kyrian Covenant, Greeter Mnemis was part of the reception the Archon arranged in honor of the Maw Walker's efforts against the Maldraxxus incursion in Bastion.[5]
