Garrosh'ar Point was a Horde landing site in the Jade Forest led by Ga'trul. The outpost came under heavy assault from Alliance military led by the mighty airship The Skyfire when on a mission to search for Admiral Taylor and Anduin Wrynn.

By 40 ADP, the outpost was still found in ruins and abandoned, much to the relief of the local pandaren.[1]

History

While on a reconnaissance mission looking for the missing ship of Admiral Taylor and Prince Anduin Wrynn, the Skyfire happened upon a Horde settlement upon the coast of the newly found land. Sky Admiral Rogers quickly ordered her paratroopers to get ready to jump and her gyrocopters to depart from the airship.

The soldiers and engineers stationed at Garrosh'ar Point were mowed down by the machine gun-equipped gyrocopters and the two orc ships, the Bladefist Reaper and the Stygian Scar were sunk off the coast. The orc warlock Ga'trul was present here but teleported to the nearby Twinspire Keep after being cornered by Alliance troops.

As the surviving sailors of the two ships were swimming towards land, Sky Admiral Rogers ordered her men to fire upon them, resulting in a slaughter. The doubt among the Alliance soldiers as well as the general violence brought forth the sha, which quickly overwhelmed the outpost. The Alliance retreated back to the Skyfire as well as to Paw'don Village, a pandaren settlement in the vicinity with a negative disposition towards the Horde, after the kidnapping of their children and the ransacking of their orchards.

Following the awakening of the Dragon Isles, Chen Stormstout, Li Li Stormstout, and Catelyn the Blade arrived at the remains of Garrosh'ar Point after visiting the Timeless Isle. Li Li remarked that all the violence that had occurred here was part of what had awakened the sha and that it was good the outpost was no longer.[1]

Notes

  • As the name implies, this outpost was named after Garrosh Hellscream, then-Warchief of the Horde.
