Patch changes
- Patch 11.0.2 (2024-08-13):
- Damage reduced by 5%.
- Damage is no longer increased by 10% in PvP combat.
- Patch 11.0.0 (2024-07-23):
- Now explodes early when applied to a target that already is affected by Explosive Shot.
- Projectile and explosion visual effects have been updated.
- Moved to row 6 (was row 10). No longer a choice node with [Barrage].
- Hotfix (2023-08-21): Damage increased by 20% in PvP.
- Hotfix (2023-08-07): Damage increased by 10%. Does not apply to PvP.
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Now a row 10 class talent (was a level 25 Marksmanship talent). Now also works with two-handed melee weapons.
- Patch 9.1.5 (2021-11-02): No longer maximum target capped and now deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now requires level 25 (was 30). Now capped at 6 targets.
- Patch 8.1.5 (2019-03-12): Will now blow up after 3 seconds at the target's location, even if the target dies while Explosive Shot is applied to them.

- Previous effect: Fires a slow-moving munition directly forward. Activating this ability a second time detonates the Shot, dealing up to (131.04% of Attack power) Fire damage to all enemies within 8 yds. If you do not detonate Explosive Shot, 10 Focus and some of the cooldown will be refunded.

- Hotfix (2018-07-18): Explosive Shot will now correctly despawn if the projectile collides with an obstacle or reaches maximum range, and refund partial cost and cooldown.
- Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now requires level 30 (was 60). Now refunds 10 Focus and part of the cooldown if you don't detonate the shot.
- Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Now costs 20 Focus (was 0).
