Cathan the Determined was a great centaur hunter of Clan Shikaar. She died from an illness that her son Zorig was unable to heal her from, and was buried with her spear in the Eternal Kurgans.[1] Tombcaller Ganzaya of Clan Ukhel exhumed Cathan's spear in order to raise and enslave her spirit. Upon aggro, Ganzaya succeeds in summoning and subjugating Cathan, who runs off to serve the Ukhel. Adventurers defeat Ganzaya and bring Cathan's spear back to her son Zorig.[2]
A permanent, hostile version of Cathan roams in front of the area's main kurgan. Zorig asks adventurers to help him defeat her and use the Totem of Respite to put her soul to rest. After this is done, Cathan's spirit briefly reappears to tell Zorig that she is proud of him.[3]
After adventurers put Teera and Maruuk's spirits to rest by placing their weapons in the Teerakai kurgan, Zorig places Cathan's spear in the mound as well, causing her spirit to reappear. Zorig begins to apologize for being unable to save her in life, but she tells him that he has nothing to be sorry for and expresses her pride in him again before fading away.[4]
Abilities
Bloodletting — Skewer an enemy, dealing Physical damage and causing the enemy to bleed every 3 sec.
Strength of the Isles — The caster draws upon the land's energies, increasing their damage dealt by 20%, and restoring health every 2 sec for 14 sec.
