Not to be confused with Bruiser (rhino) or Bruiser (basilisk).

Bruisers (also called goblin bruisers)[1] are the primary law enforcement of goblin cities. As such, most of them are goblins, though there are also hobgoblin[2] and ogre[3] bruisers employed by the cities. Bruisers are responsible for upholding law and order with a firm hand and ensuring that all trade is fair. In a big city like Gadgetzan, adaptation is key to their job, as the warring factions come up with new ways to slow each other down. And as the bruisers improve their weaponry and training, they have to cut off their free time. The Gadgetzan bruisers work 24 hours a day, 6 ¾ days of the week. They only ever take a break on Tuesday mornings.[4] According to Muzzlecrank, the bruisers in Ratchet are well paid.[1]

The term is also used to refer to close combat fighters of various races not affiliated with goblin cities.
