Muzzlecrank was a goblin bruiser in the port city of Ratchet. He enjoyed his job as bruiser taking bribes, arresting drunks, and generally enjoying the different kinds of people that you meet in a port town, but the truth was that he was inefficient as a city guard and he knew it, being unwilling to fight alone against bigger opponents and not being good with his net gun either.

Three years after the Battle of Mount Hyjal, tensions flared up between the Horde and Theramore because of the incident on the Orgath'ar merchant ship. Muzzlecrank's life suddenly became much more stressful, and he eventually had to interfere to separate two sailors, the orc Klatt and human Joq, before their respective armed guards could turn the docks into a bloodbath. Muzzlecrank succeeded in bluffing the two escort parties, and took the rowdy captains to prison. He was unsure, however, if the job was still for him.
