High General Brigitte Abbendis was one of the founders of the original Scarlet Crusade. She was the daughter of the former High General Abbendis. Brigitte later became Commander of the Scarlet Onslaught.

The Ashbringer

Brigitte Abbendis is perhaps the most fervent of all the leaders of the Crusade. She hates the undead with a fanatical loathing and thinks nothing of sacrificing her troops in an effort to eradicate the walking dead. Brigitte is the daughter of the previous High General Abbendis, an older man who sought to destroy all undead. He passed that mission onto his daughter before he died at the hands of the undead.

Brigitte was one of the members of the Silver Hand present when then-Commander Alexandros Mograine revealed his plan to forge the weapon that would become known as Ashbringer, and participated in the act of cleansing the sword's crystal. She seemed to accompany Tirion Fordring and Isillien at that meeting in Old Hillsbrad. She, her father High General Abbendis, Grand Inquisitor Isillien, Saidan Dathrohan, Taelan Fordring, and Renault Mograine formed the Crusade. She then accompanied Alexandros and Maxwell Tyrosus to the Scarlet Monastery and claimed it for the Crusade. She then participated in the battle for Hearthglen, in which her father sacrificed himself to protect her. She was promoted to High General after his death.

High General Abbendis was originally found in Tyr's Hand in the Eastern Plaguelands. She was frequently found visiting the city's abbey or planning the Crusade's military operations in the garrison.

New Avalon

Abbendis appears at several locations in New Avalon: either just in front of the Scarlet Hold while on the quest   [8-30] Death Comes From On High or at King's Harbor while on the quest   [8-30] A Meeting With Fate.

New Hearthglen

With the introduction of the Scarlet Onslaught, she has been stationed as the leader of the organization in the cathedral of New Hearthglen (level 72).

 [The Diary of High General Abbendis] details her campaign in Lordaeron up until the events unfolding in Northrend.

Both the Alliance and the Horde want Abbendis' head. When the deed was done, Barean Westwind remarks that she served her purpose among the Scarlet Onslaught.

Dragonblight

•  Judgment of Onslaught — Transfers 50% armor to the caster for 10 sec.
•  Raging Consecration — Consecrates the land beneath Paladin, doing 18 Holy damage over 8 sec to enemies who enter the area.
•  Reckless Onslaught — Each attack fuels the Reckless Onslaught, increasing the damage taken and damage dealt by the caster by 5% for 12 sec.
•  Seal of Onslaught — Grants the casters attacks the chance on melee swing to ignore enemy armor.

Eastern Plaguelands

•  Battle Shout — Increases the melee attack power of nearby party members by 4 for 2 min.
•  Demoralizing Shout — Reduces the melee attack power of nearby enemies by 10 for 30 sec.
•  Holy Strike — Consecrates the caster's weapon, inflicting 2 additional damage on its next attack. All damage inflicted is based on Holy magic.
