Boulderfist Ogre is one of Whizbang's minions summoned from an Ominous Portal during Hearthstone's 10th Anniversary at the event locations in Valdrakken, Stormwind City, and Durotar.
Abilities
Enrage — Increase an ally's attack speed by 100% for 20 sec.
Giant Roar — Knocks all enemies within 10 yards of the caster back. Interrupts spell casting of all enemies within 10 yards for 3 sec. Inflicts 20 Nature damage to enemies within 10 yards.
Heavy Bash — Causes an enemy to inflict 10% decreased Physical damage. Inflicts Physical damage to an enemy.
Trivia
- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Crown of the Heavens" series, for the card Grug the Bonecrusher.
- Boulderfist Ogre has become a popular subject of Hearthstone community memes (particularly on the /r/hearthstonecirclejerk subreddit), many of which involve intentionally misspelling the card's name as "Bolderfist Oger" or describing it as having "Good stats for the cost" in reference to its flavor text.
- During the reveal season of Fractured in Alterac Valley, content creator MarkMcKz had previous game director Ben Brode in his video to talk about Boulderfist Ogre.
- Boulderfist Ogre was a part of Patch 22.6.1.1.1.1, an April Fools 2022 prank, with the announced named change to Flamewreathed Faceless and new text "Ogerload:", which is a reference to the subreddit and the 4 mana 7/7 meme.
- Boulderfist Ogre was also a part of April Fools in 2023, where Boulderfist Ogre was a purchasable minion in Battlegrounds for just one day.
- Zephrys the Great Diamond version shows Boulderfist Ogre in his animation.
- One of Excavate's epic treasures is Ogrefist Boulder, a tribute to the popularity of this minion.
- In December 2023, a poll was held on Hearthstone community Discord channel to choose who should enter the 2024 Core Set between {{HSwiki:Chillwind Yeti|Chillwind Yeti]], Worgen Greaser, Boulderfist Ogre and {{HSwiki:Ultrasaur|Ultrasaur]]. Boulderfist Ogre won with over 50% of the votes.
- Boulderfist Ogre officialy reappears as an alternate warrior hero, going by the name of Boulderfist the Ogre. His flvaor text reads. "His attitude might be bad, but his stats are still good!"
