Woundwood

Woundwood is a powdery ingredient used by the Farstriders. The powder is made from dried leaves of woundwood tree. When mixed with liquid, it forms a numbing paste. When it was applied as a poultice, the pain was deadened temporarily, and one had time to escape to safety. It was also used by the groom Talvas for the injured horse Parley.

When she was young, Sylvanas Windrunner wanted to use it on Rendris Salonar and Aravan Salonar for laughing at Lirath Windrunner, so added it to drinks at a party. The drinks, however, were drunk by Lord Saltheril and Elisara Sunstriker instead and had their tongue paralyzed for a short time.

After she was raised into undeath by Arthas Menethil, Sylvanas used woundwood and mixed it with a poison used by the forest trolls and applied it to an arrow that she shot at the death knight when he was escaping from Tirisfal Glades.
