WoW's 8th Anniversary is a Feat of Strength achievement earned by logging in during the 8th anniversary of World of Warcraft between 18 November to 2 December 2012.[1]
Recipients were mailed a 
[Celebration Package] attached to the following letter:
WoW's 8th Anniversary!
Wow, yet another year has gone by for WoW!
We wanted to thank you again for continuing to play World of Warcraft with us. With the return of a certain very large dragon, this has been a rough year for the world of Azeroth. On the other hand, that means heroes like you are needed more than ever.
Get out there and defend a shattered world!

Notes
- Due to a bug, the letter sent out for the 8th Anniversary was the same as in the previous two years, even though Cataclysm was no longer the current expansion. The only change was the year in the subject line.[2]
