An ancient lightning eidolon, twisted by corruption, is locked within the Dreadforge, bound in titan-made stone and chains. His bonds are shattered by the dread iron dwarves, and his fury is unleashed upon their enemies.
The Encounter
Eneraan's Abilities
- Siphon Energy — Every time Eneraan attacks a target with this debuff, he regains 3% of his health. Periodically cast on Eneraan's main target.
- Drain Vitality — Targets afflicted by Drain Vitality take periodic nature damage. All healing done to the target is absorbed. When dispelled, Drain Vitality will reapply after a short time and become immune to being dispelled for a short time. This time will increase every time Drain Vitality is reapplied.
- Rolling Thunder — Orbs of lightning spill out from Eneraan's body, moving directly away from him slowly. The path the orbs will take will be visible briefly before they appear. Eneraan will spawn a greater number of Rolling Thunder as his health falls. If a player comes into contact with an orb of Rolling Thunder, they are rooted to the spot and take periodic nature damage until they are dispelled. When dispelled, the players spawn a pool of Ambient Energy that deals nature damage to anyone standing in it.
- Energy Chain — Pools of Ambient Energy within 15 yards of one another will become linked with an Energy Chain. Anyone passing through the Energy Chain will break it, causing the two linked Ambient Energy pools to disperse after 3 seconds. Every Ambient Energy pool that was linked to a dispersed pool will also disperse after 3 seconds. Pools deal a burst of nature damage to all players when dispersed.
- Power Up — Every Energy Chain present will increase Eneraan's power.
Strategy
Heroic Mode
- Booming Thunder — Periodically Eneraan releases Booming Thunder orbs. These orbs move as Rolling Thunder orbs do, but do not despawn and instead bounce off the chamber walls. They gain speed over time. If a player comes into contact with a Booming Thunder orb, they receive a burst of nature damage and 4 orbs of Rolling Thunder spawn, moving in random directions.
- Magnetize — Enerann targets a location and pulls the 5 closest players to it, afflicting them with Magnetize. At the same time he launches an Arcing Booming Thunder at the location. Arcing Booming Thunder orbs travel through the air and despawn when they strike the location, dealing a burst of nature damage and spawning 4 orbs of Rolling Thunder that move in random directions.
- Magnetize — Players afflicted with Magnetize are linked to all other players with Magnetize and have their movement speed slowed by 50%. This effect is reduced as players move further away from others afflicted with Magnetize.
