Triumvirate's End.

Triumvirate's End is an arena[1] in the southernmost part of Eredath. It is the location of the past battle between the followers of Velen and Kil'jaeden.

The Echo of Khazaduum is encountered here.

History

Millennia ago, Velen received a vision of the naaru through the Ata'mal crystal. Sargeras would doom the eredar and transform them into man'ari monstrosities, and so Velen had to gather his followers to the highest mountain in the land on the longest day of the year. The prophet managed to gather only hundreds for exile. Not all were sincere in their commitment to Velen, however, and his old friend Talgath betrayed them. Thousands of man'ari discreetly surrounded the place until they were seen, and then a battle erupted.[2] Velen's followers activated the multiple defensive crystals around the arena to shield the fleeing civilians,[1] wile stalwart defenders fought for their unarmed brethren.

The battle eventually turned in favor of Kil'jaeden when his servant Khazaduum, first of his kind, shattered the Argunite Matrix protecting and powering the area.[3] All seemed lost for Velen's loyalists, with Talgath going for the kill. Hatuun and his men sacrificed themselves to slow down the man'ari's advance, until the prophet called for help from the naaru Ku're. The Ata'mal crystal then shattered into seven shards, shielding the remaining exiles and signaling the arrival of the Genedar.[2] As Velen's followers flew upward to the ship, the naaru L'ura stayed behind to hold the way open for them.[4]

Currently, the area is teeming with ghosts from that fateful day. After the arrival of the Vindicaar and the activation of its defenses, Triumvirate's End becomes the location of a Lightforged beacon. The Army of the Light is eventually able to reform the Argunite Matrix, securing the area for their own use.

Notes

  • While Triumvirate's End itself is just near the old eredar capital city, the cutscene of N [45] Eredath, Jewel of Argus still depicts the area as a high mountain.
