Green Belt
The Green Belt is an area of the eastern Wetlands which is home to crocolisks, bog beasts, and oozes. Rethiel the Greenwarden was also located here. A wrecked Dragonmaw clan caravan can be found here with red whelps, implying it was destroyed in the aftermath of the Battle of Grim Batol.
By the time of the Cataclysm, night elves came to the Wetlands just to find Rethiel, and after they succeeded, they settled an outpost named Greenwarden's Grove.[1] Meanwhile, the surrounding area had been affected by flooding and other unusual phenomena that have infuriated the Greenwarden. These problems included an infestation of malicious mirebeasts to the west,[2] and fire elementals appearing from Direforge Hill to the northeast.[3] To the southeast, a group of Dragonmaw Clan orcs renewed their effort to steal whelps of the black dragonflight,[4] to the dismay of the black dragon Pyrricion and his slavers who can frequently be seen fighting with them.[5]
