Adventure Guide

The development of the dracthyr produced many iterations, some more successful than others. Early versions of the experiment proved far too volatile to destroy. Kept dormant for thousands of years, these creations have now awakened, and seek to test their prowess against the champions of Azeroth.

Overview

Normal and Heroic overview:

The forgotten experiments within Neltharion's laboratory each represent a dark stage in the development of the dracthyr. Neldris enters the fray first and assaults the laboratory's intruders with Rending Charge.

As Neldris reaches 50% remaining health, Thadrion bursts from his containment vat, afflcting players with Unstable Essence and erupting with Volatile Spew.

As Thadrion reaches 50% remaining health, Rionthus escapes his containment vat and begins to devastate the chamber with Neltharion's most potent version of Deep Breath.

Mythic overview:

The forgotten experiments within Neltharion's laboratory each represent a dark stage in the development of the dracthyr. Neldris enters the fray first and assaults the laboratory's intruders with Rending Charge.

Upon Neldris' defeat, Thadrion bursts from his containment vat, afflicting players with Unstable Essence and belching forth Volatile Spew.

As Rionthus' predecessor is defeated, he escapes his containment vat and begins to devastate the chamber with Neltharion's most potent version of Deep Breath.

Damage Dealers

Neldris dashes between marked players with Rending Charge, affecting anyone in her path.
Unstable Essence creates an explosion upon removal and jumps to a nearby player.
Rionthus gains a shield that absorbs damage if Temporal Anomalies reach him.

Healers

Neldris' Rending Charge inflicts heavy bleed damage on several targets.
Violent Eruption inflicts heavy damage to all players.
Unstable Essence creates an explosion upon removal and jumps to a nearby player.

Abilities

Zealous Creations – Thadrion and Rionthus each break out of their containment vats to join the fray as their predecessor reaches 50% remaining health.
Neldris
- Rending Charge — Neldris charges between several players, inflicting X Physical damage to anyone in her path, knocking them back, and causing them to bleed for Y Physical damage every 1 sec for 15 sec (normal) / 30 sec (Heroic). This effect stacks.
  - In Mythic difficulty, Rending Charge does not expire.
- Massive Slam — Neldris unleashes a shockwave that inflicts X Physical damage to players in a frontal cone.
- Bellowing Roar — Neldris bellows an arcane roar, inflicting up to X Arcane damage. Players farther from Neldris take less damage.
- Infused Strikes — The experiment's melee attacks inflict X Arcane damage every 1 sec. This effect stacks. Touching another player afflicted by Infused Strikes removes all applications and causes an Infused Explosion.
  - Infused Explosion — The energy from Infused Strikes explodes, inflicting X Arcane damage to all players and an additional Y Arcane damage every 2 sec for 20 sec. This effect stacks.
Thadrion
- Unstable Essence — Thadrion infuses players with unstable energy, inflicting X Arcane damage every 2 sec and growing in intensity over time. Upon removal, the energy briefly coalesces and then explodes, inflicting Y Arcane damage to players within 12 yards and leaving behind an Erratic Remnant. A lingering trace of energy then jumps to a nearby player and applies Unstable Essence.
  - Erratic Remnant
    - Erratic Burst — The Erratic Remnant periodically erupts with energy, inflicting X Arcane damage to all players.
- Volatile Spew — Thadrion spews forth arcane globules that inflict X Arcane damage to players within 7 yards of the impact locations.
- Violent Eruption — Thadrion erupts with energy, inflicting X Arcane damage to all players every 1 sec for 8 sec. Erratic Remnants react to the violent energy, inflicting Y Arcane damage to all players every 1 sec during Violent Eruption.
- Infused Strikes — The experiment's melee attacks inflict X Arcane damage every 1 sec. This effect stacks. Touching another player afflicted by Infused Strikes removes all applications and causes an Infused Explosion.
  - Infused Explosion — The energy from Infused Strikes explodes, inflicting X Arcane damage to all players and an additional Y Arcane damage every 2 sec for 20 sec. This effect stacks.
Rionthus
- Deep Breath — Rionthus takes in a deep breath and flies across the laboratory, spewing molten cinders that inflict X Volcanic damage every 0.5 sec for 1 sec to players in his path.
- Temporal Anomaly — Rionthus creates a vortex of temporal energy that begins to drift toward him. If the anomaly collides with Rionthus, he gains a shield that absorbs damage equal to 10% (normal) / 15% (Heroic) / 20% (Mythic) of his maximum health. If a player collides with the anomaly, it inflicts X Arcane damage and is knocked away.
  - In Mythic difficulty, Temporal Anomalies apply Temporal Fracture.
  - Temporal Fracture — Increases damage taken from Temporal Anomaly by 100% for 20 sec. This effect stacks.
- Disintegrate — Rionthus tears into players with blasts of blue magic, inflicting X Spellfrost damage every 1 sec over 3 sec. The magic lingers, slowing affected players by 30% and causing them to inflict Y Spellfrost damage every 1 sec to players within 5 yards for 16 sec (normal + Heroic) / 32 sec (Mythic).
- Infused Strikes — The experiment's melee attacks inflict X Arcane damage every 1 sec. This effect stacks. Touching another player afflicted by Infused Strikes removes all applications and causes an Infused Explosion.
