Adventure Guide

Led by Warlord Kagni, the Zaqali warband has launched an all-out assault against the Shadowed Crucible in search of their missing Elder, Rashok. Brutal and ruthless, Kagni is willing to employ any tactic to succeed.

Overview

As the battle begins, Warlord Kagni calls upon his Zaqali warband to assault the two protruding battlements. Warlord Kagni periodically sends himself onto the opposing battlement with Devastating Leap and causes Cave Rubble to fall with Heavy Cudgel. Upon reaching 25% remaining health, Warlord Kagni stages a final desparate^[sic] assault on the Elder's Door with Catastrophic Slams.

Abilities

Barrier Backfire — The Elder's Door is protected by a runic barrier that backfires when attacked by Zaqali forces, inflicting X Shadowflame damage to all players and an additional Y Shadowflame damage every 0.5 sec. This effect stacks.
- In Heroic difficulty, Barrier Backfire does not expire.

Stage One: Storming the Battlements

Ignara – Warlord Kagni's companion flies between the battlements providing aerial support.
- Phoenix Rush — Ignara's flame unleashes several Ignited Plumes at player locations. After 10 sec, a Renewed Hatchling rises from its ashes.
  - Renewed Hatchling
    - Blazing Focus — The Renewed Hatchling fixates on a nearby player and pulses with flame, inflicting X Fire damage to players within 12 yards every 2 sec.
    - From the Ashes — On death, the Renewed Hatchling leaves behind another Ignited Plume. After 10 sec, the phoenix revives.
- Vigorous Gale — Ignara unleashes a gust of wind, inflicting X Nature damage to players on the nearby battlement. The cutting wind pushes players toward the battlement’s edge and inflicts Y Nature damage every 0.5 sec for 3 sec.
Warlord Kagni
- Devastating Leap — At full energy, Warlord Kagni leaps between the battlements. When landing, he slams his hammer into the ground inflicting X Volcanic damage to players within 12 yards and knocking them away. Molten fissures radiate from the impact location, inflicting Y Volcanic damage.
- Heavy Cudgel — Warlord Kagni slams his massive cudgel in the direction of his current target, inflicting X Physical damage to players in a frontal cone and increasing their Physical damage taken by 15% for 45 sec. This effect stacks. The force of the impact causes Cave Rubble to fall.
  - Cave Rubble — Rubble falls from the cavern's ceiling, inflicting X Physical damage to players within 6 yards of the impact locations.
Magma Mystic
- Molten Barrier — The Magma Mystic protects itself within a shield of lava that absorbs X damage. The barrier pulses with flame while the shield holds, inflicting Y Fire damage to all players every 4 sec and granting the mystic Molten Empowerment.
  - Molten Empowerment — Increases the Magma Mystic's fire damage by 20%. This effect stacks.
- Magma Flow — The caster hurls lava at random players, inflicting X Lava damage on impact and an additonal^[sic] Y Lava damage every 3 sec for 15 sec.
- Lava Bolt — The Magma Mystic fires a searing bolt of lava, inflicting X Volcanic damage to the target.
Flamebound Huntsman
- Blazing Spear — The huntsman sets his aim on several players, heaving a Blazing Spear at their location that initially inflicts X Physical damage to players within 6 yards of the impact. The Blazing Spear remains in the ground and after a short duration, explodes inflicting Y Fire damage to players within 8 yards.
Obsidian Guard
- Scorching Roar — The Obsidian Guard unleashes a burning roar that sears players within 25 yards, inflicting X Fire damage every 0.5 sec for 1.5 sec.
- Volcanic Shield — The Obsidian Guard charges its shield with lava, then fires a beam of magma towards its target, inflicting X Volcanic damage to players in the path of the beam.
Zaqali Wallclimber – Wallclimbers periodically ascend the rampart walls and attempt to breach the sealed door. Their melee attacks cause Barrier Backfire.
Arbalest Fire — Siege Arbalests fire bolts along the ramparts inflicting X Physical damage to all players within 12 yards of the impact.

Stage Two: Warlord's Will

Catastrophic Slam — Upon reaching 100 energy, Warlord Kagni sends a devastating shockwave toward the Elder's Door, inflicting X Physical damage split evenly among players in its path and applying Weakened Vitality. Warlord Kagni expends up to 100 energy, reduced by the number of players hit. If any energy remains, Catastrophic Slam triggers a Barrier Backfire.
- In Heroic difficulty, Catastrophic Slam causes Weakened Vitality.
- Weakened Vitality — The impact of Kagni's charge weakens the player increasing their damage taken from Catastrophic Slam by 200% (Heroic) / 500% (Mythic).
Flaming Cudgel — Warlord Kagni slams his massive cudgel in the direction of his current target, inflicting X Physical damage to players in a frontal cone and increasing their Physical damage taken by 15% for 45 sec. This effect stacks. The force of the impact causes all players to erupt in flame, inflicting Y Fire damage to targets within 6 yards of their location.
Desperate Immolation — Warlord Kagni drains Ignara's life, regaining 35% of his maximum health and gaining Ignara's Fury.
- Ignara's Fury — Warlord Kagni smolders with Ignara's flame, periodically inflicting X Fire damage to all players every 1.5 sec.
