Tavernkeep Smitts is a human quest giver located at the Scarlet Raven Tavern in Darkshire in Duskwood.

Smitts was quite an expert on the local lore and followed the legend of Stalvan Mistmantle for years. When the visiting nobles were slaughtered, Smitts and Marshal Haggard of the Stormwind Guard went to investigate. Smitts found muddy pages, but they were never able to link the handwriting to Stalvan. Years later, when Jitters was staying at the tavern, Smitts noticed him writing in a book, and then saw him leaving in a hurry. When an Alliance adventurer found the book and showed it to Smitts, he recognized it and sent the adventurer after Jitters. The adventurer also uncovered an additional clue that linked Stalvan to the murders, and Haggard sent them to Smitts, who gave them the muddy pages and sent them to deliver the proofs to Commander Althea Ebonlocke.

During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Smitts was killed by the fanatical Night Watchers who joined the Veiled Hand cult.
