Road to Stratholme

The Road to Stratholme, before becoming one of strongest front bases of the Scourge known as the Plaguewood, was a beautiful place like Elwynn Forest and had a town similar to Goldshire. Prince Arthas crossed the woodland in order to reach the city of Stratholme.

In the small village here and nearby areas, you would find an unnamed inn as well as its residents, the majority of which are presumed to have fallen during the coming of the plague. When Kel'Thuzad began his work, the poisoned grain from Andorhal reached this area as well. Sergeant Morigan was the first soldier to realize that something was wrong.

NPCs for questing

There are two quest NPCs:

• Chromie: In the cellar of the inn where you enter the instance, and on the road to Stratholme after uncovering the plagued grain.
• Arthas: The main focus of the escort, who comes out from the main gate of Stratholme.

Map limits

• The road towards Corin's Crossing and Tyr's Hand, which runs behind the inn you enter the instance through - is blocked by fog blanking the screen. Using [Eagle Eye] or other abilities that let you see things from afar shows that Quel'Lithien Lodge, Northpass Tower, the portal to Thalassian Pass, and the first huts and tents of Zul'Mashar are still there.
• The road to Hearthglen at the crossroads between the inn and Stratholme - blocked by the same fog, although the town of what is now Terrordale, the Terrorweb Tunnel and the ruined Plaguewood Tower can be seen through the use of Eagle Eye or similar abilities again.

Notes

• The name is seen on the world map menu when switching between the maps. The other section is named Stratholme City.
• During Love is in the Air, the unnamed inn has the event's decorations.
