Joseph Redpath is a human ghost found in Darrowshire in the Eastern Plaguelands.
Background
World of Warcraft
Joseph Redpath was killed during the battle of Darrowshire. His spirit was corrupted by Marduk Blackpool and took new shape, and this creature spread great evil in Lordaeron. At Gahrron's Withering, east of Andorhal, the corrupted Redpath was finally defeated by Alliance forces.[1]
His shield still rests near the barn of the plagued farmstead, and Scourge minions are still drawn to the memory of its evil.[2]
In Wrath of the Lich King
Joseph Redpath can be found sleeping in a Canopy Bed in the Road to Stratholme staying on the second floor in an inn. He is with his family including, Carlin Redpath, Pamela Redpath (along with her doll), and Marlene Redpath.
Cataclysm
With the Argent Crusade beginning to reclaim the Eastern Plaguelands, Joseph's brother Carlin Redpath sends new adventurers to Darrowshire where they meet the ghost of his niece and Joseph's daughter, Pamela Redpath. With the aid of Joseph's hunting blade and several other artifacts, the spirits of all who participated in the Battle of Darrowshire are brought together near the town's ruins and forced to relive its events. However, with the adventurer's intervention, this ghostly re-enactment turns out differently, with Redpath the Corrupted being slain shortly after his transformation. This act heals and redeems his spirit, allowing him to return to Pamela at last.

Cleave — 5 yrd range.Inflicts 110% of weapon damage to an enemy and its nearest allies, affecting up to 3 targets.

Demoralizing Shout — Reduces the melee attack power of nearby enemies for 30 sec.
Fear — Strikes fear in an enemy, causing it to flee in terror for 4 sec. Only 1 target can be feared at a time.
Strike — Strikes at an enemy, inflicting increased melee damage.
Strategy
Redpath always appears at the second battle area near the graveyard, no matter where Marduk corrupts him from. Redpath should be kept away from his lackeys, especially the Bloodletters. The battle area in the back is a good place to fight him at, as there are numerous guards and almost no Scourge to be found.
Notes
- You don't have to defeat Redpath, as long as he is slain by someone and you are nearby, you should be able to get credit.
- You could also just wait until the battle for Darrowshire is over (this does take a while). Redpath will automatically be slain so you can turn in the quest after talking to him without having to kill him.
