Master Shapeshifter is a Restoration druid talent, and a Guardian and Balance druid PvP talent. It grants additional effects to the non-primary shapeshift forms for the respective specializations.

It is an exclusive choice node with [Liveliness] for Restoration.

Patch changes

Patch 10.2.0 (2023-11-07): Now a choice node with [Liveliness] for Restoration (was [Circle of Life and Death]).
Patch 10.1.7 (2023-09-05): Now a row 9 talent for Restoration, sharing a choice node with Circle of Life and Death, instead of a PvP talent.
Hotfix (2023-06-26): Restoration: Now refunds 2500 mana from [Ironfur] (was 1250 mana), 3500 mana from [Wrath] / [Starfire] / [Starsurge] (was 2000 mana), and 10000 mana from spending 5 combo points in [Cat Form] (was 5000 mana) at level 70.

- Now available for Balance. Redesigned: Your abilities are amplified based on your current shapeshift form, granting an additional effect.
  - Caster Form – [Rejuvenation] and [Swiftmend] heal for 30% more and generate Astral Power or Rage.
  - Bear Form – Ironfur grants 30% additional armor and generates Astral Power or Mana.
  - Cat Form – [Rip], [Ferocious Bite], and [Maim] deal 60% additional damage and generate Astral Power, Rage, or Mana.
  - Moonkin Form – Wrath, Starfire, and Starsurge deal 30% additional damage and generate Rage or Mana.
Old: Your Affinity is amplified granting an additional effect.
Restoration Affinity: After you Swiftmend, the cast time of your Regrowth is reduced by 30% and its healing is increased by 30% for 8 sec.
Guardian Affinity: Chance to be critically hit by melee attacks reduced by 10% while in Bear Form.
Balance Affinity: After you enter Moonkin Form, the cast time of your Wrath and Starfire is reduced by 30% and their damage is increased by 20% for 10 sec.
Feral Affinity: While in Cat Form, your bleed damage is increased by 30%.
Patch 9.0.2 (2020-11-17):
- [Balance Affinity] no longer reduces the cast time of Starsurge and now also increases the damage of Wrath and Starfire by 20% for 10 seconds.
- [Feral Affinity] now only increases bleed damage by 30% (was 25%).
Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now requires level 30 (was 45 for Guardian and 40 for Restoration).
Patch 8.1.5 (2019-03-12): Guardian Affinity effect now reduces chance to be critically hit by melee attacks by 10% (was 20%).
Patch 8.1.0 (2018-12-11): Now available to Guardian and Restoration (was Guardian only).
Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17):
- Now a PvP talent (was a rank 19 honor talent).
- Restoration Affinity effect now applies to [Regrowth] (was [Healing Touch]).
- Balance Affinity effect now reduces cast time of [Solar Wrath], [Lunar Strike], and Starsurge by 30% (previously granted 30% spell haste).
- Feral Affinity effect now increases damage dealt in Cat Form by 25% (was 30%).
