Insect Swarm is a DoT with a 12 second duration that deals nature damage. Along with [Moonfire], this ability accounts for a large amount of overall damage during fights when used by a Balance Druid.
Notes
- This ability and
[Moonfire] go hand in hand and are often applied to an enemy target within one global-cooldown of one another.
- It is one of the most mana-efficient DoT's in the game.

Related Glyphs
[Glyph of Insect Swarm] increases the damage of Insect Swarm by 30%. Thus this is often considered one of the best prime glyphs to maximize damage for a Balance Druid.
Tips and tactics
- Use in conjunction with
[Moonfire].
- Unlike most (all?) Druid spells, Insect Swarm does not interrupt the swing timer.[1]
