Ice cream (or ice-cream) is a chilly treat enjoyed by children and adults across Azeroth and beyond.

History

The Cone of Cold doing business in Stormwind.

Ice cream was first invented at some point between 18[1] and 25 ADP[2] by Tigule, who became rich off of his strawberry-flavored ice cream. Although he later quit the ice cream business to become an adventurer,[1] he is apparently still the dominant name in the business.[3]

Some competitors have appeared, like the Cone of Cold, who do business in Stormwind City and Orgrimmar every year during Children's Week and who employ magi to freeze their ice cream.[4][5][6] During the Cataclysm, the gnome Brivelthwerp tried creating his own ice cream empire in the Thousand Needles with the ambitious goal of surpassing Tigule[7][8] and becoming the greatest ice cream purveyor on Azeroth.[9] Unfortunately, all of his workers were killed by silithid. Adventurers helped him salvage the operation and the setback inspired him to launch a new brand of ice cream flavored with silithid body parts.[8]

Stranglekelp can be used to make ice cream. During the Ahn'Qiraj War Effort, Private Draxlegauge wanted to gather the kelp in part to make ice cream that would help the Might of Kalimdor endure the hot days in Silithus.[10]
