Goldmine is a goblin shaman of the Earthen Ring. He is the apprentice of Earthcaller Yevaa and has a fire elemental as a companion named Magmatooth, but they don't get along.
He first appeared after the Cataclysm as Initiate Goldmine, and later as Senior Initiate Goldmine. During the Burning Legion's third invasion of Azeroth, he has been promoted to Journeyman Goldmine. Years later, during the war against the Primalists, he appeard as Senior Journeyman II Goldmine.

Initiate Goldmine was found in Deepholm and later in the Twilight Highlands. He, like many goblin shaman, doesn't really respect the elements and only sees them as tools.
He also assists the adventurers in killing the elementals at Sethria's Roost, apparently being promoted to "Senior Initiate".
During the Burning Legion's third invasion, the Hydraxian Waterlords sent a distress call from Azsuna, and the Earthen Ring at the Heart of Azeroth in the Maelstrom sent troops to aid them.[1] In the process, they rescued Journeyman Goldmine. In thanks, he agreed to lend his skill to the Earthen Ring's cause.[2] As such, he traveled to the Heart of Azeroth where he researched the class hall upgrades. Advisor Sevel believed that Goldmine's unorthodox research may significantly augment their power, as the goblins found ways to imbue their mechanical devices with the energy of elemental spirits.[3]
Years later, Goldmine traveled to the Ohn'ahran Plains to combat the Fyrakk Assaults at Suffusion Camp. He was working with Zooti Fizzlefury on a water elemental to contain fires.[4]

Abilities
- Twilight Highlands
Stoneskin Totem — Summons a Stoneskin Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster. The totem protects party and raid members within 0 yards, increasing armor by 5. Lasts 5 min.
Water Shield — The caster is surrounded by 3 globes of water. Attacks and spells used against the caster deal Frost damage and slow the attacker's spell casts. 3 charges, lasts 10 min.
- Mount Hyjal
Lightning Shield — Surrounds the caster with 3 balls of lightning that have a 50% chance of striking melee or ranged attackers for Nature damage. Each time the lightning shield strikes, a ball of lightning dissipates. The shield expires after 10 min. or after it has struck 3 times.
