Edge of the Abyss
The Edge of the Abyss is a portion of "the vastness between the Maw and the Eternal City"[1] traversed during the second stage of the Sylvanas Windrunner encounter in the Sanctum of Domination. At the end of the encounter's first stage, the Jailer sends out two enormous chains from the Pinnacle of Domination that latch onto Oribos and begins heading to the Crucible. Jaina creates a portal to let the party pursue him, depositing them on the Edge of the Abyss. The players and their allies travel across the abyss by using the Jailer's chains as bridges, with Jaina and Thrall creating additional pathways of ice and earth between the two, while Sylvanas and groups of Mawsworn try to waylay them. At the end of the stage, Jaina creates another portal to the Crucible for the third and final part of the encounter.
