Dornic was a titan watcher appointed by The Keeper to oversee the earthen of Khaz Algar. Dornic's arrival was met with enthusiasm and celebration by the earthen,[1] they even proposed to name the fortress they were building after him and his sister Galan. However, in the absence of the Keeper, Dornic turned out to be a tyrannical and oppressive leader.[2] He imposed unreasonable demands, and punished the earthen harshly, including deactivating them at his discretion.[2] According to earthen plays he ordered production rates to be tripled[1] and also, when he decided he needed only one general, made his earthen generals fight among each other over which should remain.[3] His cruelty caused widespread fear and unrest among the earthen which led to a rebellion forming. In a coordinated uprising, the earthen eventually managed to deactivate Dornic,[2] and, according to "The Cruelty of Dornic" play, throw his body into a portal to an unknown location.[1] After Dornic's disappearance, Galan, who had been spared by the rebelling earthen due to her lack of direct cruelty, became more oppressive, interrogating and deactivating earthen to discover his fate.[2] When The Keeper finally returned he confronted Galan stating that both Dornic and her had defied directives and misused their power and that Dornic had earned his fate.[4]
