Agent Keanna is a human found at Ariden's Camp in Deadwind Pass.

An agent of the Violet Eye, she eventually managed to infiltrate Karazhan[1] where she stayed in the guest chambers[2] and kept an encoded log of her observations. Her death was confirmed by the Violet Eye shortly before the tower was shut down.[1] The last few entries in her log describe a demon of the Burning Legion arriving at the top of the tower.[3]

I've traveled here from Dalaran to investigate a theft. It should be impossible for outsiders to enter the city, but powerful artifacts have disappeared from our vaults. Our scryers glimpsed a group of seven hooded figures on horseback, matching the old stories of the Dark Riders of Karazhan.

It is said that before his death, the archmage Medivh would send the Riders out from Karazhan to gather magical artifacts for his research. But Karazhan is silent, and I do not feel the Riders' presence. Where have they gone? And do they serve a new master?

If you find any of the stolen artifacts in your travels, please bring them to me.

Gossip What did you have in mind?

If you are willing to help me, I can give you a trinket which will react to the presence of the Riders. Legend says the riders are invisible unless they wish to be seen, but with the trinket you may force a Rider out of hiding. They are said to be formidable warriors, so I recommend having an ally by your side.

Gossip after retrieving the artifacts

Thank you for your help retrieving the artifacts. Any one of them would have been a serious danger to Azeroth in the wrong hands.

But there is much that still troubles me. How did the Riders enter Dalaran? And who were they working for?

This is an ill omen, <name>. I sense a malign will at work. We may have slowed down its plans, but it will recover. For now, I will continue to keep watch on Karazhan.

Trivia

  • According to an unreleased quest chain in The Burning Crusade, she would reveal that she was a wizard specializing in offensive magic. While in Karazhan, she was discovered by Malchezaar, who trapped her soul. She managed to hide a fraction of her memories into her sword, which would allow players to summon and speak to a facet of her.
