Notes
- When the Verdant Thicket in Mount Hyjal regrew over what was once known as the Circle of Cinders by the time of the end of the Fourth War, new kinds of cinderbloom herbs appeared. Zekhan likes to think of them as a symbol of the old clash between fire and nature. The leaves of this bloom burn and regrow quickly when lit. When a meal is seasoned with this herb, Zekhan advises having plenty of cold water on hand to wash it down.[1]
- During the war against the Primalists, the Druids of the Flame harvested the new variant, referred to simply as New Cinderbloom, in Hyjal and had it delivered to the Dragon Isles for their use. Its supply was low due to supply line conflicts. The druids observed the rapid burning and regrowing of the Cinderblooms petals when ignited, and this property of regrowth inspired an idea on how to approach the infusion of the blossoms in the Ohn'ahran Plains.[2]
- The druids also had crates of regular Cinderbloom from Uldum supplied by the Artisan's Consortium.[2]
- The mention of the new variant and its property is the first instance of something established in Exploring Azeroth appearing in-game.
- Oddly, Cinderbloom can sometimes spawn as a humanoid mob in the Darkwood of Tol Barad Peninsula. It can move around and engage in combat, uses the injury and death sound effects of a cannon (sounds like metal clanking), and appears lootable on death but never actually drops anything.[3]
