Blood Moon (Season of Discovery)

The Blood Moon is a world PvP event occurring periodically in Stranglethorn Vale.
Event overview
The Blood Moon occurs every 3 hours and lasts for 30 minutes.
During the Blood Moon, Free For All PvP is active throughout the entire zone and all players have 30% more health. Killing another player will grant around 5 stacks of Blood for the Blood Loa. Getting killed will remove a percentage of your stacks; the more you have, the more you lose. It also applies the Drained of Blood debuff for 20 seconds. While Drained of Blood, the character will be invisible and immune to damage but unable to attack or use abilities other than mounts. Approaching an Altar of Blood will automatically convert all stacks of Blood for the Blood Loa into an equal number of coins; stacks from players below level 48 are converted into Copper Blood Coins, and stacks from players level 48 and above are converted into Copper Massacre Coins.
Players who do not wish to participate can speak to a Zandalarian Emissary (found locally in Booty Bay or the Rebel Camp, as well as in certain other zones) to opt out. Opting out prevents you from being flagged for Free For All PvP, but also prevents you from gaining stacks of Blood for the Blood Loa. It will also remove any existing stacks you may have.
Dead players can resurrect at any Spirit Healer in the zone for free. Additionally, there are numerous Chained Spirits throughout the zone that will also provide free resurrections during the Blood Moon.
Kha'damu
During the event, a powerful troll boss named Kha'damu will spawn near the Gurubashi Arena and wander up and down the main road through Stranglethorn Vale. Kha'damu will buff players within 200 yards with Kill, Maim, Bleed!, and players within 100 yards with Feast of Blood, which significantly increase how many stacks of Blood for the Blood Loa are earned for killing other players. However, Kha'damu is easily aggroed (even through stealth), moves very quickly, and will kill any player he catches in a single hit, making fighting near him a risky - albeit highly rewarding - endeavor. Though Kha'damu has more than 3 million health, it is possible to kill him with a sufficiently large and motivated group of players.
Rewards
Mai'zin near the Gurubashi Arena will trade Blood Coins and Massacre Coins for rewards.
100 Copper Coins can be converted into Silver Coins, and 100 Silver Coins into Gold Coins, to purchase greater rewards.
