The Xenedar is a dimensional ship belonging to the Army of the Light and their former headquarters.

The Xenedar split off from the Genedar some time after the draenei fled Argus.[1] When Illidan Stormrage used the Sargerite Keystone to connect Argus with Azeroth, the Armies of Legionfall traveled to Argus aboard another dimensional ship, the Vindicaar. Soon after the Vindicaar arrived the Xenedar did as well, only for it to be immediately shot down by Chief Engineer Ishkar using the Burning Legion's cannons.[2]

It would later be discovered that Turalyon, High Exarch of the Army of the Light, had survived the crash. After an adventurer united with him, and later with his wife Alleria Windrunner, the three traveled to the crashed Xenedar to retrieve Xe'ra, the naaru who had previously sent her sentience core,  [Light's Heart], to Azeroth.[3] The Light Mother was then brought to the Vindicaar, as the Army of the Light secured the Xenedar to avoid it falling into the Legion's hands.[4]

Notes and trivia

  • It was described as a warship used to engage the Burning Legion in tactical guerilla strikes on Argus for centuries.[5]
  • The way the Xenedar crash-landed, with its back in the side of a mountain, is similar to the crash of the Exodar.
  • The Xenedar greatly damaged the ground of the area upon crashing, revealing golden argunite in its trail.
  • In some early concept art, the ship was called "Benodar".[6]
  • The Xenedar appears as a uncollectible legendary paladin location in Hearthstone's Caverns of Time set.
